1922 Konyaspor, formerly known as Anadolu Selçukspor and Konya Şeker SK, is a Turkish professional football club based in Konya. It was founded in 1955 and its colors are green and white. The club managed to gain promotion for the 2008–2009 season of the TFF Second League. Selçuk University ( tr, Selçuk Üniversitesi) is a state-owned higher educational institution which was founded 1975 in Konya, Turkey. It is one of the largest universities in Turkey with a student body of 63,000 of which 2,200 are foreign students from 105 countries. Konya () is a major city in central Turkey, on the southwestern edge of the Central Anatolian Plateau, and is the capital of Konya Province.
