Ana Catarina Marques Borges (born 15 June 1990) is a Portuguese Association football, footballer who plays for Sporting Clube de Portugal (women's football), Sporting CP and the Portugal women's national football team. After initially joining on Loan (sports), loan from Chelsea L.F.C., Chelsea, she made the move back to Portugal permanent in July 2017, just before UEFA Women's Euro 2017. She is an important member of the Portugal women's national football team, Portugal national team with over 110 Cap (sports), caps. Estádio José Alvalade is a football stadium in Lisbon, Portugal, home of Sporting Clube de Portugal. It was built adjacent to the site of the older stadium. The stadium is named after José Alvalade (1885–1918), the founder and first club member of Sporting CP in the early twentieth century. The Women's Super League (WSL), currently known as the Barclays Women's Super League (BWSL) for sponsorship reasons, is the highest league of women's football in England. In association football, a substitute is a player who is brought on to the pitch during a match in exchange for an existing player. Substitutions are generally made to replace a player who has become tired or injured, or who is performing poorly, or for tactical reasons (such as bringing a striker on in place of a defender). A player who has been substituted during a match takes no further part in the game, in games played under the standard International Football Association Board Laws of the Game.
