An Itan To Violi Pouli
''An itan to violi pouli'' ( el, Αν ήταν το βιολί πουλί - ''If violin was a willie''), alternative title ''Kai aftos to violi tou'' ( el, Και αυτός το βιολί του - ''And yet he keeps going'') is a 1984 Greek comedy film that was directed by Takis Vougiouklakis and produced by Lakis Mihalidis, starring Sotiris Moustakas. Plot Lefteris Paganinakis, a word play on Paganini, is thrown in jail after becoming involved in a brawl caused by two rival priests who are quarrelling over who gets to use Lefteris' orchestra as an attraction for churchgoers. While in prison, he relates his life's story to a fellow inmate. It is revealed that Lefteris had three weddings which all ended up in divorce proceedings presided over by the same judge. Other details of his adventures and tribulations are unfurled during this narration, along with certain aspects of prison life. But two pleasant surprises await him. Takis Vougiouklakis
Panagiotis "Takis" Vougiouklakis ( el, Παναγιώτης (Τάκης) Βουγιουκλάκης; 6 March 1939 – 7 April 2021) was a Greek director and producer. Biography Vougiouklakis was born in Athens and is the relative of the former prefectural leader of Arcadia, judge Ioannis Vougiouklakis and Aimilis Koumoundourou. He was the brother of Aliki Vougiouklaki. He began and finished his studies in Rome, Italy and began at the Pro-Deo University where he studied and went on to work as a director at the Centro Sperimentale di Cinematografia (CSC). In his first vocational step, he worked as second unit director, next to the best Greek and foreign directors of the Golden Age of Greek film. He effectively directed in 1963, began his radio directors for 40 theatrical works and then in television with many serials, shows and celebrated programs. He began directing films in 1970.
