''An Immortal Man'' (''En udødelig mann'') is a miniseries on Henrik Ibsen's childhood and youth in three episodes, produced by the NRK in 2006 on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Ibsen's death. It was directed by Berit Nesheim and written by Siri Senje, and first broadcast on NRK1 on 26, 27 and 28 December 2006. A miniseries or mini-series is a television series that tells a story in a predetermined, limited number of episodes. Per Theodor Haugen
Per Theodor Haugen (8 October 1932 – 14 October 2018) was a Norwegian actor. Haugen was theater manager at Oslo Nye Teater from 1985 to 1988. Haugen was born at Kongsberg. He was the son of Trygve Haugen (1897–1943) and his wife Hjørdis Wissestad (1904–60). At age 16 he became a student at Rogaland Theater in Stavanger. He had his stage debut in 1949 at Rogaland Teater. In 1959, he played the lead role in the movie '' Støv på hjernen'' (Dust on the Brain). Haugen also worked as director of Oslo Nye Teater from 1985 until 1989. With his wife, actress Sissel Sellæg (1928–2014), he had a son Kim Haugen Kim Haugen (born 24 September 1958) is a Norwegian actor. Stina Åsa Maria Ekblad (born 26 February 1954 in Solf, Ostrobothnia, Finland) is a Swedish-speaking Finnish actress. Living in Stockholm, she has appeared mostly in Swedish productions. Bjørn Richard Sundquist (born 16 June 1948) is a Norwegian actor, famous for TV, theatre, and movie roles. For many years he worked at Det Norske Teatret and Nationaltheateret in Oslo, and he is especially famous for the roles as Merlin and Hamlet. When he received the Honorary Amanda Award (Norway's answer to Oscar) in 2000, he became the youngest ever recipient of the greatest honor in Norwegian film. Eva Wenche Steenfeldt Stang (5 December 1917 – 28 March 2011), better known as Wenche Foss (), was a leading Norwegian actress of stage, screen and television. Personal life Wenche Foss was born to engineer Christian August Steenfeldt-Foss (1878–1960) and Alfhild Røren. Foss grew up with an atheist mother and a devout Christian father; she inherited both views but has stated: "I could not fall asleep without the prayer". Kristine Cathrine Ploug (née Altenburg) (1760–1837), known as Aunt Ploug (''Faster Ploug'' in Norwegian), was a relative of playwright Henrik Ibsen, cited as the influence of some of the characters in his plays, such as The Rat-Wife in ''Little Eyolf''. She was a sister of Johan Andreas Altenburg, Ibsen's maternal grandfather, and as such the aunt of Marichen Altenburg and great-aunt of Henrik Ibsen. She lived with her brother from around 1799, following the death of her husband, and after Johan Andreas Altenburg's death, she lived with the Ibsen family. She died at Venstøp in 1837.
