Vivaldão
Estádio Vivaldo Lima, usually known by its nickname Vivaldão, was a multi-purpose stadium in Manaus, Brazil. It was formerly used mostly for football matches. The stadium held 36,000, with 31,000 seats. It was built between 1958 and 1970. The Vivaldão was owned by the government of Amazonas state. The stadium was named after Vivaldo Lima, who was the founder of Nacional Fast Clube and it was the home ground of América Futebol Clube (AM), Nacional Futebol Clube and Atlético Rio Negro Clube. Guarany Sporting Club, commonly known as Guarany de Sobral or just as Guarany, is a Brazilian football club from Sobral, Ceará state. They competed once in the Série B and in the Série C, and won the Série D once. History Guarany Sporting Club was founded on July 2, 1938, at Luiz Nogueira Adeodato's home, located in Sobral, Ceará state. Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D (English: Brazilian Championship Serie D) is the fourth division of the Brazilian football league system, and was announced by the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) on April 9, 2008. The Campeonato Brasileiro Série D was formed from the split of the Série C, keeping its best 20 clubs and playing double round robin as does the top three divisions. The Série D keeps the same format of the older Série C, but with participation limited to 40 clubs recognized by the state federation. In 2016 the Série D was expanded to 68 clubs, but in 2022 it will be reduced to 64 clubs. 2010 Campeonato Brasileiro Série D
In 2010, the Campeonato Brasileiro Série D, the fourth division of the Brazilian League, will be contested for the second time in history. The competition has 40 clubs, four of which will eventually qualify to the Campeonato Brasileiro Série C to be contested in 2011. Competition format The 40 teams are divided in ten groups of 4, playing within them in a double round-robin format. The two best ranked in each group at the end of 6 rounds will qualify to the Second Stage, which will be played in home-and-away system. Winners advance to Third Stage along with the three losers with best record in previous stages. The Quarter-Final winners will be promoted to the Série C 2011. As there is no Série E, or Fifth Division, technically there will be no relegation. However, teams who were not promoted will have to re-qualify for Série D 2011 through their respective state leagues.
