''Amédée'' is a 1950 French comedy film directed by Gilles Grangier and starring Rellys, Annette Poivre and Robert Arnoux.https://www.unifrance.org/film/4620/amedee It was shot at the Photosonor Studios in Paris. The film's sets were designed by the art director Jacques Colombier. Synopsis Amédée, the sales director of a beauty salon, is given a serum which him compels him to blurt out the unvarnished truth for the next two days. Gilles Grangier (5 May 1911 – 27 April 1996) was a French film director and screenwriter. He directed more than 50 films and several TV series between 1943 and 1985. His film '' Archimède le clochard'' was entered into the 9th Berlin International Film Festival, where Jean Gabin won the Silver Bear for Best Actor. He had the most number of successful films at the French box office between 1945 and 2001 with 42 of his films having admissions of 500,000 or more, more than any other. René Worms (8 December 1869 in Rennes – 12 February 1926 in Paris) was a French auditor of the council of state. He was the son of professor of political economics, Émile Worms. Early life and education Worms was educated at the lyceum of his native city, at the Lycée Charlemagne, and at the Ecole Normale Supérieure in Paris (docteur en droit, 1891; docteur ès lettres, and docteur ès sciences politiques et economiques, 1896). Worms, who was a member of the Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques of the Institut de France, became a member of the higher statistical board in 1897 and of the consulting committee for agricultural statistics in 1903, besides being a member of many learned societies. Career He began his legal career as an advocate at the Court of Appeals in Paris in 1891, and was appointed auditor of the council of state three years later.
