Amy Johnston (September 22, 1954 – March 17, 2021) was an American film and television actress and drama coach. She played Mary Lee in the NBC sitcom '' Brothers and Sisters''. As her appearances includes, '' The Buddy Holly Story'', '' Welcome Back, Kotter'', '' Brothers and Sisters'', ''Rooster: Spurs of Death!'' The series starred Michael Landon as Jonathan Smith, an angel sent to Earth in order to help people in need. Victor French, Landon's co-star from his previous television series, ''Little House on the Prairie (TV series), Little House on the Prairie'', co-starred as Mark Gordon, a retired policeman who travels with and helps Smith with the tasks or "assignments" to which he is referred.
