Amphibulima Patula
''Amphibulima patula'' is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Amphibulimidae. Subspecies Subspecies of ''Amphibulima patula'' include: * ''Amphibulima patula patula'' (Bruguière, 1792) * ''Amphibulima patula dominicensis'' Pilsbry, 1899 - Pilsbry (1899) separated the Dominican specimens on the basis of the darker colour and by having a heavier sculptured shell. Robinson et al. (2009) have found living specimens that were either light beige-coloured with a somewhat orange-yellowish line along the foot (see photo on the left), or entirely dark brown coloured (see photo on the right). Comparison of orange-yellowish and dark brown ''Amphibulima patula dominicensis'': Distribution The nominate taxon ''Amphibulima patula patula'' has been reported from Guadeloupe (probably now extinct) and Marie-Galante. The type locality is Guadeloupe. ''Amphibulima patula dominicensis'' is endemic to Dominica. Another variety has bee ...

List Of Non-marine Molluscs Of Dominica
The non-marine molluscs of Dominica are species of land and freshwater molluscs, i.e. land snails, land slugs and one small freshwater clam that are part of the wildlife of Dominica, an island in the Lesser Antilles. In malacology, the non-marine molluscs of an area are traditionally listed separately from the marine molluscs (those molluscs that live in full-salinity saltwater). Dominica is a Caribbean island, part of the Windward Island chain of the Lesser Antilles. Fifty-five species of non-marine molluscs have been found in the wild in Dominica, including sixteen endemic species of land snails, species which occur nowhere else on Earth. Dominica is a mountainous, , volcanic, tropical island. It is undeveloped compared with most other Caribbean islands, and it is known for its wildlife and unspoiled natural landscapes. The rugged terrain includes a great deal of tropical rainforest, numerous rivers, and several officially protected areas, including Morne Trois Pitons National ...

Amphibulima Browni
''Amphibulima browni'' is a species of air-breathing land snail, a terrestrial pulmonate gastropod mollusk in the family Amphibulimidae. This rare tropical land snail is endemic to the West Indian island of Dominica. The snail has been seen only very rarely since it was first discovered in the late 19th century, and it may eventually be listed as an endangered species. The shell of this snail is oblong and thin, but not fragile, and it has a large aperture. Distribution ''Amphibulima browni'' is endemic to the West Indian island of Dominica. The type locality is Dominica, the altitude 330 m, "on bananas". The status of this species, which is one of three species of ''Amphibulima'' on Dominica, has been somewhat doubtful for a long period, since this taxon has not been reported since its original description. The collection of a few live specimens during the recent surveys in the 2000s confirmed its presence, and although it appears rare, it seems to be less restricted in distr ...
