Amore Scusami
"Amore scusami" is a 1964 song composed by Gino Mescoli and Vito Pallavicini. The song premiered at the Un disco per l'estate music festival with a performance of John Foster, and then got an immediate commercial success, peaking at third place on the Italian hit parade and remaining in the top ten for five months. Background The song portrays the crisis of a sentimental relationship, and it is regarded as an innovation for the Italian music of the time for its realistic lyrics and for the absence of pathetic and pitiful tones. Paolo Occhipinti (born 23 August 1939), best known as John Foster, is an Italian former singer and journalist. Life and career Born in Milan, Occhipinti had already a professional career as a musical critic and a journalist when he started singing in an amateur band.Ernesto Bassignano. "Foster, John". Bruno Lauzi (; 8 August 1937 – 24 October 2006) was an Italian singer-songwriter, poet and writer. Biography Bruno Lauzi was born in Asmara, then part of the Italian Eastern Africa, to a Catholic father, Francesco Lauzi and a Jewish mother, Laura Nahum. In the 1960s he moved to Genoa, where he became part of the local music scene and met Gino Paoli, Luigi Tenco and Fabrizio De André. After a spell as song writer for Mia Martini, Georges Moustaki and Ornella Vanoni, Lauzi established himself as a renowned ''cantautore'' (singer-songwriter). Lovelace Watkins (March 6, 1933– June 11, 1995) was an American, Las Vegas-based singer and performer (also nicknamed "The Black Sinatra"), who achieved prominence in America as well as in Europe and Australia. Jerry Vale (born Gennaro Louis Vitaliano; July 8, 1930 – May 18, 2014) was an American singer, songwriter and actor.
