Amona, Mateh Binyamin
Amona ( he, עמונה) was an Israeli outpost in the central West Bank. Located on a hill overlooking Ofra within the municipal boundaries of the Mateh Binyamin Regional Council, the village was founded in 1995 on privately owned Palestinian land. As of 2012, its population was around 200. As of October 2013, the outpost lodged 42 families. It was evacuated completely in February 2017 in compliance with a ruling by the Israeli Supreme Court. The High Court of Israel ruled in 2006 that the settlement is illegal under Israeli law,Motti Inbari, Jewish Fundamentalism and the Temple Mount: Who Will Build the Third Temple?', pp. 166–167. SUNY Press, 2009 but as of March 2013, its status remained unresolved as the Israeli government continued to fight the court's eviction order. Amona, Goa
Amona is a census town in North Goa district in the state of Goa, India. It is believed that Amona was an ancient centre for trade and commerce with a lot of cultivated fertile land and alluvial banks of the Mhadaee, now Mandovi River. The surrounding land holds many cashew plantations and has a Sesa Goa pig iron plant. The rich soil and centralized location in Gomantak with water networks for inland transport allowed Aryans to settle on the land. Remains of ancient fortresses and settlements submerged in the soil around the ferry wharf region have been reported in Amona by the archeology department of Goa. The earliest settlers of this region were primarily the Aryan warriors, administrators; and traders. These warriors in medieval times were a part of the Maratha clans. Isla De Mona
Mona ( es, Isla de Mona) is the third-largest island of the Puerto Rican archipelago, after the main island of Puerto Rico and Vieques. It is the largest of three islands in the Mona Passage, a strait between the Dominican Republic and Puerto Rico, the others being Monito Island and Desecheo Island. It measures about 7 miles by 4 miles (11 km by 7 km), and lies west of Puerto Rico, of which it is administratively a part. It is one of two islands that make up the Isla de Mona e Islote Monito barrio in the municipality of Mayagüez. The island is managed under the Mona and Monito Islands Nature Reserve (''Reserva Natural Islas de Mona y Monito''). There are no native inhabitants; only rangers and biologists from the Puerto Rico Department of Natural and Environmental Resources reside on the island, to manage visitors and take part in research projects.
