Amit Sheoran
Amit Sheoran (born 19 February 1978 Angadpur, Baghpat, India) is a pistol shooting coach, who also competed at a national level, He had to leave shooting due to the death of his father. He has produced several national and international-level Indian pistol shooters. He has coached Saurabh Chaudhary. Early life From around 1995, Amit Sheoran was coached by Mahboob Khan Pathan and entered state- and national-level events. In the beginning of his career Sheoran have to lose his father and entered in his era of struggle. Coaching career In 2009 he started a tin-shed shooting range with five students, one air rifle and an old air pistol. The shed is named after a 1857 anti-British revolutionary. In 2016 the father of an old student gifted a small parcel of land - sufficient to allow a marginally larger shed (16x12 sqm) with, for the first time, a pair of fans. Saurabh Chaudhary
Saurabh Chaudhary (born 12 May 2002) is an Indian sport shooter. He won the gold medal at the 2018 Asian Games in 10 m Air Pistol. He was the youngest Indian gold medalist at the Asian Games. He had earlier won gold medals and set a new junior world record in the ISSF Junior World Cup in Suhl, Germany. He is the only Indian shooter to win a gold medal in ISSF World Championship, ISSF World Cup, Youth Olympic Games, Asian Games and Asian Air Gun Championship. He broke his own world record with a score of 245.5 and claimed gold in Junior Men 10m Air Pistol at 2018 World Championship in Changwon, Korea. Baghpat
Baghpat is a city in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. It is the administrative headquarters of Bagpat district, which was established in 1997. It is part of the National Capital Region. Giriraj Singh (born 8 September 1952) is an Indian politician and the Minister of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Department in the 23rd Ministry of the Republic of India with a cabinet minister rank. The International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) is the governing body of the Olympic shooting events in rifle, pistol and shotgun (clay target) disciplines, and of several non-Olympic shooting sport events. Yuvika Tomar (born 6 July 2001) is an Indian sport shooter. She won the gold medal in the 2022 National Games of India in the 10 meter air pistol, making her the first female shooter representing Uttar Pradesh to win a gold medal at the national games. Early life Tomar was born in Arifpur Kheri, a village in Bagpat district of western Uttar Pradesh. She comes from a family of farmers in the sugarcane belt of Yamuna–Gangatic plains of North India. Manu Bhaker
Manu Bhaker is an Indian Olympian who competes at airgun shooting. She represented India at the 2018 ISSF World Cup and won two gold medals. She is the youngest Indian to win a gold medal at the ISSF World Cup. She won the gold medal in women's 10 m air pistol event at 2018 Commonwealth Games just at the age of 16 in her maiden Commonwealth Games appearance. ISSF World Cup
The ISSF World Cup was introduced by the International Shooting Sport Federation in 1986 to provide a homogeneous system for qualification to the Olympic shooting competitions. It still is carried out in the Olympic shooting events, with four competitions per year in each event. For the best shooters there is since 1988 a ''World Cup Final''. World Cup Final The World Cup Final in rifle and pistol is often, but not always, held in Munich as the ISSF shooting season ending competition. The location and date of the World Cup Final in shotgun are more flexible.
