Amini Park
Amini Park is a cricket ground in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Part of the Bisini Parade sports complex in the suburb of Boroko, it is the headquarters of Cricket PNG. History The ground was established in 1956 and named Amini Park in 1983 after the Amini family, several of whom have played cricket and other sports for Papua New Guinea (both the men's and women's teams). The ground has seen the men's team play Australia, the West Indies and Victoria. The women's team played Japan in a three-match series at the ground in September 2006. In May 2016, the ground hosted its first List A match when Papua New Guinea defeated Kenya in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship. Boroko
Boroko is a suburb of Port Moresby, the capital city of Papua New Guinea. It includes a residential area and a sports and recreation precinct, and was once a significant commercial centre but the business area is now in decline. History The town of Port Moresby was mainly confined to the peninsula near the port facilities in the early decades of the 20th century. An influx of Australian and American military personnel during World War II increased the rate of expansion inland, including the upgrade of the airstrip at Seven Mile (now Jacksons Airport), and the use of Murray Barracks at Four Mile, next to Boroko. Kenya National Cricket Team
The Kenya national cricket team represents the Republic of Kenya in international cricket. Kenya is an associate member of the International Cricket Council (ICC) which has Twenty20 International (T20I) status after the ICC granted T20I status to all of their members. They have been an associate member of the ICC since 1981. Since then they have played in five Cricket World Cups from 1996 to 2011 with their best result being a semi-final appearance at the 2003 Cricket World Cup in Southern Africa. They have only qualified for one ICC World Twenty20 tournament with that being in 2007. The Kenyan national team is governed by Cricket Kenya.
