American Gods Season 2
The second season of ''American Gods'', based on Neil Gaiman's novel of the same name, was broadcast on Starz between March 10 and April 28, 2019, and consisted of eight episodes. Jesse Alexander adapted the second season, serving as the sole showrunner after Bryan Fuller and Michael Green departed the series, and production began in April 2018 after the season was officially greenlit in May 2017. The season stars Ricky Whittle, Emily Browning, Crispin Glover, Yetide Badaki, Bruce Langley, Pablo Schreiber and Ian McShane, who all return from the previous season, as well as Orlando Jones, Mousa Kraish, Omid Abtahi and Demore Barnes, who were promoted to series regular status for the second season. Jesse Alexander
Jesse Alexander is an American television writer and producer. He was a co-executive producer and writer on ''Heroes''. Originally from Santa Barbara, California, Alexander attended Sarah Lawrence College and AFI Conservatory. At Sarah Lawrence, he befriended J. J. Abrams, his collaborator on a number of projects. Alexander became showrunner for '' American Gods'' starting with the second season, replacing Bryan Fuller and Michael Green. This was also his only season, replaced with Charles Eglee for season three. Michael Green (writer)
Michael Green is an American writer and producer. In addition to writing for television, Green has written or co-written several feature film screenplays, including '' Logan'', '' Alien: Covenant'', '' Blade Runner 2049'' and ''Murder on the Orient Express'', all in 2017. For ''Logan'', which he co-wrote with James Mangold and Scott Frank, Green was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Adapted Screenplay. Life and career Green grew up in Mamaroneck, New York, the son of a real estate developer. His family is Jewish, and his mother is Israeli. He attended Stanford University. After graduating, Green came back to New York and hustled his way into a junior development job at HBO, where he spent his workday reading other writers' scripts.
