American College Health Association
The American College Health Association (ACHA) is a Silver Spring, Maryland-based organization of college health professionals throughout the United States. It was founded in 1920 as the American Student Health Association (ASHA), obtaining its current name in 1948. Over 800 higher education institutions are members of the ACHA, as of 2019. The association also has over 2,800 individual health care professionals as members. Silver Spring, Maryland
Silver Spring is a census-designated place (CDP) in southeastern Montgomery County, Maryland, United States, near Washington, D.C. Although officially unincorporated, in practice it is an edge city, with a population of 81,015 at the 2020 census, making it the fifth-most populous place in Maryland after Baltimore, Columbia, Germantown, and Waldorf. Downtown, next to the northern tip of Washington, D.C., is the oldest and most urbanized part of the community, surrounded by several inner suburban residential neighborhoods inside the Capital Beltway. Many mixed-use developments combining retail, residential, and office space have been built since 2004.
