Amee-Leigh Murphy-Crowe
Amee-Leigh Murphy Crowe (born 26 April 1995) is an Irish rugby sevens and rugby union player, who has represented Ireland in both formats. At club level, she has played for Munster 15s and Railway Union. Murphy Crowe was the leading try scorer at the 2018–19 World Rugby Women's Sevens Series. Club career As a youngster, Murphy Crowe participated in athletics, and competed in the 100 metres and long jump in Tipperary. Aged 15, Murphy Crowe started playing rugby in Clanwilliam. She plays as a winger. In 2012, Murphy Crowe joined Munster Rugby's women's under-18 team. Aged 18, Murphy Crowe joined their senior team, where she played rugby union (15s rugby). She has also played club rugby for Railway Union. She was part of the Railway Union team that won the 2019 All-Ireland final. In 2020, Murphy Crowe returned to playing 15s rugby, as rugby sevens matches were on hold due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She had not played 15s rugby since the 2014–15 season. International career ... Fiji Women's National Rugby Sevens Team
The Fiji women's national rugby sevens team represents Fiji at regional and international sevens tournaments. They have won three Pacific Games gold medals, two Oceania Championships, a silver medal at the Commonwealth Games and a bronze medal at the Summer Olympics. They also compete in the World Rugby Sevens Series and Rugby World Cup Sevens. History Fiji won the gold medal at the 2011 Pacific Games in Nouméa, New Caledonia. Australia Women's National Rugby Sevens Team
The Australia women's national rugby sevens team, are the Australia national rugby sevens team of women. They were champions of the inaugural Women's Sevens World Cup in 2009. The team plays in the World Rugby Women's Sevens Series as one of the "core teams" on the world tour, of which they have been crowned Champions three times. The team also played in the preceding competition to the current world series, the IRB Women's Sevens Challenge Cup. In 2016, they won the inaugural gold medal at the Rio Summer Olympics. The 2019 Sydney Women's Sevens was the third tournament within the 2018–19 World Rugby Women's Sevens Series and the third edition of the Australian Women's Sevens. It was held over the weekend of 1–3 February 2019 at Spotless Stadium in Sydney, with former venue Allianz Stadium closed for rebuilding. It was run alongside the men's tournament. New Zealand Women's National Rugby Sevens Team
The New Zealand women's national rugby sevens team represents New Zealand in the World Rugby Sevens Series, Rugby World Cup Sevens, Summer Olympic Games and the Commonwealth Games. The team has participated in all rounds of the World Rugby Women's Sevens Series since the competition's inception in 2012–13. New Zealand competed at the 2009 Rugby World Cup Sevens in Dubai. The English women's national rugby sevens team has competed in the Hong Kong Women's Sevens tournaments since 1997. England are also one of six teams announced by the International Rugby Board as "core teams" that will compete in all four rounds of the inaugural IRB Women's Sevens World Series in 2012–13.
