Amed Rosario
Germán Amed Valdez Nate Rosario (born November 20, 1995) is a Dominican professional baseball shortstop and outfielder for the Cleveland Guardians of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his MLB debut with the New York Mets in 2017. Career New York Mets Rosario signed with the New York Mets as an international free agent in July 2012 for $1.75 million. It was the largest international signing bonus given by the Mets. Rosario made his professional debut in 2013 with the Kingsport Mets. He started 2014 with the Brooklyn Cyclones and was promoted to the Savannah Sand Gnats in September. Rosario was promoted to the Binghamton Mets on June 23, 2016. He was named to the 2016 MLB All Star Futures Game and went 1-for-2 in the game. Rosario ended 2016 with a .324 batting average, 5 home runs, and 71 RBIs. The Savannah Sand Gnats were a minor league baseball team based in Savannah, Georgia. They were a member of the A-level South Atlantic League. The Sand Gnats were an affiliate of the New York Mets in their final nine seasons. The team relocated to Columbia, South Carolina, in 2016 where they are now known as the Columbia Fireflies. The Pacific Coast League Top MLB Prospect Award is an annual award given to the best rookie player in Minor League Baseball's Pacific Coast League based on their regular-season performance as voted on by league managers. The Triple-A All-Star Game was an annual baseball game held from 1988 to 2019 between professional players from the affiliated Triple-A leagues of Minor League Baseball. These leagues were the International League (IL) and Pacific Coast League (PCL) from 1998 to 2019. The Pacific Coast League (PCL) is a Minor League Baseball league that operates in the Western United States. Along with the International League, it is one of two leagues playing at the Triple-A (baseball), Triple-A level, which is one grade below Major League Baseball (MLB). Triple-A (officially Class AAA) has been the highest level of play in Minor League Baseball in the United States since 1946. Currently, two leagues operate at the Triple-A level, the International League (IL) and the Pacific Coast League (PCL). There are 30 teams, one per each Major League Baseball (MLB) franchise, with 20 in the IL and 10 in the PCL.
