Amdy Faye
Amdy Moustapha Faye (born 12 March 1977) is a Senegalese former professional footballer who played as a defensive midfielder and could also play as a centre back. Faye began his career with Monégasque club AS Monaco, French clubs ES Fréjus and Auxerre before moving to Premier League side Portsmouth in August 2003 for a fee of £1.5 million. He spent a season and a half at Fratton Park before leaving for Newcastle United in January 2005 for £2 million. He then had spells with Charlton Athletic and Scottish side Rangers. He joined Stoke City in August 2008 and spent the 2008–09 season with the Potters. He ended his career with a short stay at Leeds United. During his tenure at English football, his first name was sometimes referred as Am''a''dy because of a misspelling in his passport. The Bet365 Stadium (stylised as ''bet365 Stadium'') is an all-seater football stadium in Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire, England and the home of EFL Championship club Stoke City. Fratton Park is a football ground in Portsmouth, England, which is the home of Portsmouth F.C. Fratton Park remains as the only home football ground in Portsmouth FC's entire history. The early Fratton Park was designed by local architect Arthur Cogswell and built in 1899 on the site of a market garden in Milton, a Portsea Island farming village. In 1904, Milton and the rest of Portsea Island became part of Portsmouth. Fratton Park's Portsea Island location means it is uniquely the only football ground in English professional football which is not on the mainland of Great Britain. Jean-Alain Boumsong Somkong (born 14 December 1979) is a French former professional footballer who played as a defender. He began his senior career with French club Le Havre in 1997 before joining AJ Auxerre in 2000. His performances at Auxerre earned him a move to Rangers in 2004. One season later, he signed with Newcastle United. where he spent two seasons. In 2006, he joined Juventus, freshly relegated to Serie B and helped the club return to Serie A.
