''Amblychia'' is a genus of moths in the family Geometridae described by Achille Guenée in 1857. Description Palpi upturned, reaching vertex of head and fringed with long hair in front. Antenna of male usually bipectinated with long branches to three-fourths length. Hind tibia usually dilated and with a tuft of hair from base on inner side. Forewings of male with fovea. Apex somewhat acute and produced. Vein 3 from before angle of cell and veins 7 to 9 stalked from before upper angle. Vein 11 free. Hindwings with produced outer margin at vein 4. Amblychia Angeronaria
''Amblychia angeronaria'' is a moth of the family Geometridae first described by Achille Guenée in 1858. It is found in Sri Lanka, northern India, Korea, Andaman Islands to Taiwan, Borneo, Sumatra, Korea Japan and Australia. The species' wingspan is about 90 mm. Male has bipectinate antennae whereas female has filiform antennae. Male has pale brownish wings often mottled with ochreous. Fovea present. Body and legs of both sexes are covered with yellowish-white hairs. Female also mottled in some extent with orange-brown wings. Medial fasciae narrow and clearly defined. Margin of the hindwing is more strongly and broadly excavate. Underside of wings is pale brownish. The caterpillar is ochreous with cinnamon-grey-brown suffusion. Caterpillars feed on Lauraceae plants. References

Achille Guenée
Achille Guenée (sometimes M.A. Guenée; 1 January 1809 – 30 December 1880) was a French lawyer and entomologist. Biography Achille Guenée was born in Chartres and died in Châteaudun. He was educated in Chartres, where he showed a very early interest in butterflies and was encouraged and taught by François de Villiers (1790–1847). He went to study law in Paris, then entered the “Bareau”. After the death of his only son, he lived at Châteaudun in Chatelliers. During the Franco-Prussian War of 1870, Châteaudun was burned by the Prussians but Guénée's collections remained intact. He was the author of 63 publications, some with Philogène Auguste Joseph Duponchel (1774–1846). He notably wrote ''Species des nocturnes '' (''Night Species'' in English) (six volumes, 1852–1857) forming parts of the ''Suites à Buffon''.
