Amber Scott
Amber Scott is an Australian ballet dancer. She is a principal artist at The Australian Ballet. Early life Scott was born and raised in Brisbane, Australia. She started dance classes at age three and ballet at age five. She also attended jazz and tap classes. When Scott was eleven, her family relocated to Melbourne, and she started training at The Australian Ballet School. Career Scott joined The Australian Ballet in 2001, at age 17. In 2003, she spent five months at the Royal Danish Ballet and learned the Bournonville method there. In 2011, Scott was promoted to Principal Artist after dancing the second movement in Kenneth MacMillan's '' Concerto''. David Hallberg
David Hallberg (born May 18, 1982) is an American classical ballet dancer. He was a principal dancer with American Ballet Theatre and resident guest artist at The Australian Ballet, as well as a principal dancer with the Bolshoi Ballet. In 2021, Hallberg became the artistic director of The Australian Ballet. Early life Hallberg was born in Rapid City, South Dakota, and grew up in Phoenix, Arizona. He was inspired to dance when he saw a Fred Astaire film in the family living room. With his family's support, he trained at the Ballet Arizona School under the direction of Kee Juan Han. In 1999 he studied for one year at the Paris Opera Ballet School, then joined American Ballet Theatre's Studio Company in 2001. ''The Merry Widow'' ballet is a 1975 adaptation of Franz Lehár's 1905 romantic operetta ''The Merry Widow'' (''Die lustige Witwe''). John Lanchbery and Alan Abbott adapted the score of the operetta for ballet and retained the style of Lehár's orchestration. ''Onegin'' is a ballet created by John Cranko for the Stuttgart Ballet, premiered on 13 April 1965 at Staatstheater Stuttgart. The ballet was based on Alexander Pushkin's 1825-1832 novel ''Eugene Onegin'', to music by Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and arrangements by Kurt-Heinz Stolze. The ballet had since been in the repertoires of The Australian Ballet, National Ballet of Canada, American Ballet Theatre and The Royal Ballet.
