The Indian Foreign Service (IFS) is the diplomatic service and a central civil service of the Government of India under the Ministry of External Affairs. The Foreign Secretary is the head of the service. Vinay Mohan Kwatra is the 34th and the current Foreign Secretary. The service, consisting of civil servants is entrusted with handling the foreign relations of India, providing consular services and to mark India's presence in international organizations. Minoo Masani
Minocher Rustom "Minoo" Masani (20 November 1905 – 27 May 1998) was an Indian politician, a leading figure of the erstwhile Swatantra Party. He was a three-time Member of Parliament, representing Gujarat's Rajkot constituency in the second, third and fourth Lok Sabha. A Parsi, he was among the founders of the Indian Liberal Group think tank that promoted classical liberalism. He served as a member of the Constituent Assembly of India, representing the Indian National Congress. He introduced the proposal for a uniform civil code to be included in the Constitution of India in 1947, which was rejected. His public life began in the Bombay Municipal Corporation, where he was elected as Mayor in 1943. He also became a member of the Indian Legislative Assembly. In August 1960, he along with C. Brazil–India relations (Hindi: भारत-ब्राजील संबंध; Portuguese: Relações Índia-Brasil), also referred to as Indo-Brazilian relations, are the bilateral relations between Brazil and India. The Indian Civil Service (ICS), officially known as the Imperial Civil Service, was the higher civil service of the British Empire in India during British rule in the period between 1858 and 1947. Raja Sir Joginder Sen Bahadur KCSI (20 August 1904 – 16 June 1986) was the last ruling Raja of Mandi State, and was subsequently a diplomat and Member of Parliament. Life Joginder Sen succeeded to the Mandi throne on 28 April 1913, aged eight. On 18 February 1925, he received an honorary commission as a lieutenant in the British Indian Army.
