Amazing Thrills! In 3-Dimension
''Amazing Thrills! in 3-Dimension'' is a Man or Astro-man? promo 7" that was given away with the first 1,000 copies of their debut album, Is It ... Man or Astroman?. It was released on Estrus Records in 1993 on black vinyl only. By some counts, 1,000 copies is a generous estimate, as the Estrus website places the actual number pressed as only 400 (200 given to the band and 200 distributed to the first 200 people to order the first LP directly from Estrus).Estrus Records

Man Or Astro-man?
Man or Astro-man? is an American surf rock group that formed in Auburn, Alabama in the early 1990s and came to prominence over the following decade. Primarily instrumental, Man or Astro-man? blended the surf rock style of the early 1960s like that of Dick Dale and The Spotnicks with the new wave and punk rock sounds of the late 1970s and early 1980s. Man or Astro-man? was known for their anachronistic dedication to science fiction themes, audio samples, obscure electronic devices (such as theremins and tesla coils), and high-energy live performances. Their earlier albums like '' Is It ... Man or Astroman?'' and ''Destroy All Astromen!'' were known for their traditional surf rock instrumentation and sci-fi sound bite song introductions, but their later albums like '' EEVIAC...'' and '' A Spectrum of Infinite Scale'' were known for their use of synthesizers, printers (like the Apple ImageWriter II), and their more abstract, experimental sound. Their recordings were often peppe ...

Surf Rock
Surf music (or surf rock, surf pop, or surf guitar) is a Music genre, genre of rock music associated with surf culture, particularly as found in Southern California. It was especially popular from 1958 to 1964 in two major forms. The first is instrumental surf, distinguished by reverb-heavy electric guitars played to evoke the sound of crashing waves, largely pioneered by Dick Dale and the Del-Tones. The second is vocal surf, which took elements of the original surf sound and added vocal harmonies, a movement led by the Beach Boys. Dick Dale developed the surf sound from instrumental rock, where he added Middle Eastern music, Middle Eastern and Mexican music, Mexican influences, a spring reverb, and rapid alternate guitar picking, picking characteristics. His regional hit "Let's Go Trippin', in 1961, launched the surf music craze, inspiring many others to take up the approach. The genre reached national exposure when it was represented by vocal groups such as the Beach Boys and ...

Is It
''Is It?'' is the fifth studio album by British singer-songwriter Ben Howard, released on 16 June 2023 via Island Records. Background and recording The album was created before and after Howard suffered two transient ischaemic attacks in 2022. The strokes, which affected his memory and speech, influenced Howard's songwriting on the album. Created with DJ-producer Nathan Jenkins (aka Bullion), the album features a distinctly electronic leaning. Glitches and loops populate the mix alongside "radiant" guitar ripples. The album combines treated vocals and atmospheric drum machines, to "create the story" of Howard's experience. The opening track playfully recalls this experience. The interlude "Total Eclipse" features manipulated language to render the effect. The album was recorded at Le Manoir de Léon in Léon, Landes, France; and at Real World Studios in Box, Wiltshire, England. Release The lead single from the album, "Couldn't Make It Up", was released on 20 April 2023, with ...

Estrus
The estrous cycle (, originally ) is the set of recurring physiological changes that are induced by reproductive hormones in most mammalian therian females. Estrous cycles start after sexual maturity in females and are interrupted by anestrous phases, otherwise known as "rest" phases, or by Pregnancy, pregnancies. Typically, estrous cycles repeat until death. These cycles are widely variable in duration and frequency depending on the species.Bronson, F. H., 1989. Mammalian Reproductive Biology. University of Chicago Press, Chicago, IL, USA. Some animals may display bloody vaginal discharge, often mistaken for menstruation. Many mammals used in commercial agriculture, such as cattle and sheep, may have their estrous cycles artificially controlled with hormonal medications for optimum productivity. The male equivalent, seen primarily in ruminants, is called Rut (mammalian reproduction), rut. Differences from the menstrual cycle Mammals share the same reproductive system, includ ...
