Amarin TV, fully known as Amarin TV 34 HD ( th, อมรินทร์ทีวี เอชดี ช่อง 34), is a Thai digital terrestrial television channel operated by Amarin Television Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of Amarin Printing & Publishing PCL, which is an affiliate of the TCC Group. The networks offers a variety of content such as news, entertainment lifestyle, food and variety programs. Amarin Plaza ( th, อัมรินทร์พลาซ่า) is a shopping mall and office building complex located in the Ratchaprasong shopping district in the city centre of Bangkok. It comprises a five-storey shopping mall podium with over 300 shops, above which rises the twenty-two-storey Amarin Tower. Amarin Plaza opened in 1985, with the Sogo department store as its main anchor. The building, designed by Rangsan Torsuwan, features a postmodern design combining Greco-Roman elements with a modernist glass façade, which became a commercial success and a sensation among developers but was heavily criticized within architect circles. History The Erawan Group was founded as the Amarin Plaza Company in 1982, a partnership between the Vongkusolkit and Wattanavekin families, in order to build and operate the Amarin Plaza shopping mall. It was the Vongkusolkits' first diversification into real estate, as the family, owners of the Mitr Phol Group, mainly did businesses in the sugar industry. The Wattanavekins were the founders of Kiatnakin Bank, and also had sugar and cane businesses.
