Amanieu De La Broqueira
Amanieu de la Broqueira was a Gascon troubadour. His name suggests he was from Labroquère, near Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges. He wrote two ''cansos'' that have been preserved in the 14th-century troubadour chansonnier E (BN f.f. 1749): *''Mentre que·l talans mi cocha'' While the desire is pressing me"( 21,1) *''Quan reverdejon li conderc'' When the countryside turns green again"( 21,2) Along with the works of Guilhem d'Anduza and Guilhem Raimon de Gironella, Amanieu's songs are found only in chansonnier E, which has a high proportion of Gascon, Catalan and Langedocien composers. For reasons unknown, the chansonnier gives Amanieu's name as Ameus. In ''Quan reverdejon li conderc'', Amanieu gives his own name as Amaneus Aureilla, which is perhaps a family name or else indicates that he came from Aureilhan. Gascony
Gascony (; french: Gascogne ; oc, Gasconha ; eu, Gaskoinia) was a province of the southwestern Kingdom of France that succeeded the Duchy of Gascony (602–1453). Troubadour
A troubadour (, ; oc, trobador ) was a composer and performer of Old Occitan lyric poetry during the High Middle Ages (1100–1350). Since the word ''troubadour'' is etymologically masculine, a female troubadour is usually called a ''trobairitz''. The troubadour school or tradition began in the late 11th century in Occitania, but it subsequently spread to the Italian and Iberian Peninsulas. Under the influence of the troubadours, related movements sprang up throughout Europe: the Minnesang in Germany, ''trovadorismo'' in Galicia and Portugal, and that of the trouvères in northern France. Saint-Bertrand-de-Comminges (, literally ''Saint-Bertrand of Comminges''; Gascon language, Gascon: ''Sent Bertran de Comenge'') is a Communes of France, commune (municipality) and former episcopal see in the Haute-Garonne Departments of France, department in southwestern France. Cansos
The ''canso'' or ''canson'' or ''canzo'' () was a song style used by the troubadours. It was, by far, the most common genre used, especially by early troubadours, and only in the second half of the 13th century was its dominance challenged by a growing number of poets writing '' coblas esparsas''. The ''canso'' became, in Old French, the '' grand chant'' and, in Italian, the ''canzone''. Structure A ''canso'' usually consists of three parts. The first stanza is the ''exordium'', where the composer explains his purpose. Chansonnier
A chansonnier ( ca, cançoner, oc, cançonièr, Galician and pt, cancioneiro, it, canzoniere or ''canzoniéro'', es, cancionero) is a manuscript or printed book which contains a collection of chansons, or polyphonic and monophonic settings of songs, hence literally " song-books"; however, some manuscripts are called chansonniers even though they preserve the text but not the music, for example, the Cancioneiro da Vaticana and Cancioneiro da Biblioteca Nacional, which contain the bulk of Galician-Portuguese lyrics. The most important chansonniers contain lyrics, poems and songs of the troubadours and trouvères used in the medieval music. Guilhem D'Anduza
Guilhem d'Anduza (fl. 1244–81) was a minor troubadour active in the middle of the thirteenth century. He belonged to the family of the lords of Anduze, who were patrons of several other troubadours. He was the eldest son of Peire Bremon VII, the last lord of Anduze and Sauve, and Josserande de Poitiers. Most of his father's lands were confiscated for rebellion in 1244. Guilhem acquired the barony of Olargues through marriage and inherited Hierle on his father's death in 1254. His petition to recover Anduze and Sauve was dismissed in 1259.BEdT 203 Guillem d'Anduza

Jongleur
A minstrel was an entertainer, initially in medieval Europe. It originally described any type of entertainer such as a musician, juggler, acrobat, singer or fool; later, from the sixteenth century, it came to mean a specialist entertainer who sang songs and played musical instruments. Raimon De Durfort
Turc Malec (also ''Turc Malet'', ''Truc Malet'', ''Truc Malec'') was a minor troubadour and nobleman, probably from Quercy. He wrote the ''cobla esparsa'' ''En Raimon, be.us tenc a grat'', the first (but the order is unclear) in a series of four poems (the other three being '' sirventes''), constituting a debate with Raimon de Durfort (also from Quercy), and Arnaut Daniel. All three ''sirventes'' were written in monorhyming stanzas of nine lines, the first two of seven syllables and the last seven of eight, mirroring the structure of Turc's single one.
