Amanda Lorenz
Amanda Lorenz (born April 25, 1997) is an American professional softball player for the USSSA Pride and member of the United States women's national softball team. She played college softball for the Florida Gators, where she was named NFCA National Freshman of the Year in 2016. High school career Lorenz attended Moorpark High School in Moorpark, California. She was a four-time Cal-Hi Sports First Team All-State, and three-time First Team All-American. During her freshman year, she was named Cal-Hi Sports California Freshman of the Year. During her sophomore year in 2013, she batted .625, with 50 hits, 17 home runs, nine doubles, 45 runs scored, 40 RBIs, and a 1.375 slugging percentage. She helped Moorpark capture its first outright Marmonte League title and was named the league's most valuable player. Infield is a sports term whose definition depends on the sport in whose context it is used. Softball At The 2023 Pan American Games
Softball competitions at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile are scheduled to be held from October 30 to November 4. The venue for the competition is the Baseball and Softball Center located in the Cerrillos commune of Santiago. A total of eight women's teams (each consisting up to 16 athletes) will compete in each tournament. This means a total of 144 athletes are scheduled to compete. Qualification A total of eight women's team qualified to compete at the games. The host nation (Chile) qualified automatically, along with the champions of the 2021 Junior Pan American Games and the top six teams at the 2022 Pan American Championships. The 2019 NPF College Draft was the 16th annual collegiate draft for the National Pro Fastpitch. Women's College World Series
The Women's College World Series (WCWS) is the final portion of the NCAA Division I softball tournament for college softball in the United States. Eight teams participate in the WCWS, which begins with a double-elimination tournament. In other words, a team is eliminated when it has lost two games. After six teams have been eliminated, the remaining two teams compete in a best-of-three series to determine the Division I WCWS National Champion. Opponents are chosen in such a way that it is possible for any two of the eight teams to meet in the championship series. In this respect the WCWS differs from the Men's College World Series in baseball, in which the eight teams are divided into two brackets of four teams each, and the winner of one bracket meets the winner of the other bracket in the best-of-three championship series. 2017 Women's College World Series
The 2017 NCAA Division I softball tournament was held from May 18 through June 7, 2017, as the final part of the 2017 NCAA Division I softball season. The 64 participating NCAA Division I college softball teams were selected out of an eligible 293 teams on May 14, 2017. Thirty-two teams were awarded automatic bids as champions of their conferences, and the remaining 32 were selected at-large by the NCAA Division I softball selection committee. The tournament culminated with eight teams playing in the 2017 Women's College World Series at ASA Hall of Fame Stadium in Oklahoma City. In baseball statistics, slugging percentage (SLG) is a measure of the batting productivity of a hitter.
