Amadnews
Amadnews ( Acronym for Agahi "''awareness",'' Mobareze ''"fighting",'' Democracy) is an Iranian news website and Telegram channel. Its chief editor was Ruhollah Zam, it was founded by him, Sam Mahmoudi, Majid Niknam and Babak Ejlali. From 2015 to 2019 Sam Mahmoudi was the media's editor. Ruhollah Zam
Ruhollah Zam ( fa, روحالله زم, also Romanized as "Rouhollah Zam"; 27 July 197812 December 2020) was an Iranian activist and journalist. Best known for operating a Telegram channel named 'Amadnews', which he founded in 2015, Zam played a high-profile role in the 2017–2018 Iranian protests, to which he devoted special coverage at the time. In June 2020, an Iran court found him guilty of " corruption on earth" for running a popular anti-government forum, which officials said had incited the 2017–2018 Iranian protests. He was sentenced to death by an Iranian court and was executed on 12 December 2020. Biography Ruhollah Zam was born into a clerical family in Tehran in 1978. His father, Mohammad-Ali Zam, is a reformist who served in senior government positions in the 1980s and 1990s. Sam Mahmoudi Sarabi is the editor for the Idea & History and book services of Shargh Newspaper, who was summoned to the Intelligence Ministry on February 14, 2011, and has been in detention since then. He was for some time (2012-2014) in Middle East and North Africa (MENA) Advisor at Human Rights Watch (HRW). The Chief Justice of Iran is the head of the Judicial system of the Islamic Republic of Iran (Head of Judiciary) and is responsible for its administration and supervision. The head of the judiciary of Iran is required to be an "honorable man" according to Article 157 ead of Judiciaryof the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran. The Supreme Leader ( Ali Khamenei) appoints and can dismiss Chief Justice. The Chief Justice is also the highest judge of the Supreme Court of Iran. Astan Quds Razavi ( fa, آستان قدس رضوی, Āstān-e Qods-e Razavi) is a bonyad based at Mashhad, Iran. It is the administrative organization which manages the Imam Reza shrine and various institutions which belong to the organization. Saeed Toosi () is a prominent Iranian Qur'an reciter and teacher. He is winner of the several first prizes in both local and international competitions, notably the 1998 International Quran Recital Competition. 2017–2018 Iranian Protests
Public protests took place in several cities in Iran beginning on 28 December 2017 and continued into early 2018.
