TV Tupi
Rede Tupi (; in English, Tupi Network) was a Brazilian television network free-to-air. Its parent broadcaster, located in the city of São Paulo, was the first TV station to operate in the country, being inaugurated on 18 September 1950 by journalist Assis Chateaubriand. He belonged to Diários Associados, one of the largest media conglomerates of the 20th century, owner of several newspapers, magazines, and radio. The channel was formed in the 1970s, with members as co-brothers of the Diários Associados and affiliates. The generating stations were TV Tupi São Paulo and TV Tupi Rio de Janeiro. Due to a history of management problems, which resulted in a financial crisis, Tupi had part of its concessions revoked by the Government of Brazil in July 1980, extinguishing the network. I Love Lucy
''I Love Lucy'' is an American television sitcom that originally aired on CBS from October 15, 1951, to May 6, 1957, with a total of 180 half-hour episodes, spanning six seasons. The show starred Lucille Ball, her husband, Desi Arnaz, along with Vivian Vance and William Frawley. The series followed the life of Lucy Ricardo (Ball), a young, middle-class housewife living in New York City, who often concocted plans with her best friends and landlords, Ethel and Fred Mertz (Vance and Frawley), to appear alongside her bandleader husband, Ricky Ricardo (Arnaz), in his nightclub. Lucy is depicted trying numerous schemes to mingle with and be a part of show business. Eva Wilma Riefle Buckup Zarattini (; 14 December 1933 – 15 May 2021) was a Brazilian actress and dancer. Among her several roles, she starred in the 1950s Brazilian television series '' Alô, Doçura!''. Biography Eva Wilma was born in São Paulo. Her father, Otto Riefle Jr, was a German metallurgist from the Black Forest region of Pforzheim near Stuttgart in southern Germany. He went to Brazil, more precisely to the city of Rio de Janeiro in 1929, at the age of 19, to work in a metallurgy firm. Eva Wilma's mother, Luísa Carp, was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, she was the daughter of Ukrainian Jews from the city of Kiev who immigrated to Argentina. Eva's parents met in the city of São Paulo when Eva's father was transferred to the city, and her mother, after living in Buenos Aires, moved to Brazil. John Herbert (actor)
John Herbert (May 17, 1929January 26, 2011) was a Brazilian actor, director and producer. Herbert was born John Herbert Buckup in São Paulo. He appeared in numerous soap operas and telenovelas for Globo TV, making his last appearance in the 2008 series, '' Três Irmãs''. Herbert died from complications of pulmonary emphysema in São Paulo on January 26, 2011, at the age of 81. He had been hospitalized for the condition since January 5, 2011. Herbert was survived by his wife, Claudia Librach, and their two children. Luis Gustavo (actor)
Luis Gustavo Sánchez Blanco (February 2, 1934 − September 19, 2021) was a Brazilian actor. Born in Gothenburg, Sweden, he was the son of a Spanish diplomat, Luis Amador Sánchez Fernández, working in Sweden, and Elena Blanco Castañera, a Spanish woman. He came to live in Brazil at four years old, when his father arrived in the country to become the Spanish ambassador. He started working as an assistant director at TV Tupi, accompanying his sister, the actress Helenita Sanches, appointed by Cassiano Gabus Mendes, the station's artistic director and his brother-in-law. Soon after, he had already participated in several films, telenovelas, and telethons until he starred as the eponymous anti-hero in the 1968 telenovela ''Beto Rockfeller''. Since then he has consolidated his artistic career acting in several soap operas and films, mainly in comedy roles.
