Aly Mohamed (athlete)
Ali Zein Mohamed ( ar, علي زين محمد; born 14 December 1990) is an Egyptian handball player for CS Dinamo București and the Egyptian national team. Club career He started his career at Al Ahly, then he played for Étoile Sportive du Sahel, Al Jazira, Pays d'Aix Université Club and Sharjah, before joining Barcelona in July 2021, where he won the 2021–22 EHF Champions League. After one season he transferred to Sharjah. International career He played for Egypt U20 at the 2009 Junior World Championship and 2011 Junior World Championship. He won the 2013 Mediterranean Games, and the African Championship in 2016, 2020 and 2022 with Egypt. He also represented Egypt at the World Men's Handball Championship in 2013, 2015, 2019, 2021 and 2023, and in the 2016 and 2020 Summer Olympics. Clubul Sportiv Dinamo București is a Romanian handball club based in Bucharest, that competes in the Liga Națională, the top flight of Romanian handball. Nicknamed "the Red Dogs", the club was founded in 1948. The club's home ground is the Sala Polivalentă Dinamo in Sector 2, to which it moved in 2013. International Handball Federation
The International Handball Federation (IHF) is the administrative and controlling body for handball and beach handball. IHF is responsible for the organisation of handball's major international tournaments, notably the IHF World Men's Handball Championship, which commenced in 1938, and the IHF World Women's Handball Championship, which commenced in 1957. Handball At The 2020 Summer Olympics
The handball tournaments at the 2020 Summer Olympics took place from 24 July to 8 August 2021 at Yoyogi National Gymnasium in Tokyo. It was originally scheduled to be held in 2020, but on 24 March 2020, the Olympics were postponed to 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The pandemic meant that there were no spectators. The format was the same as it has been since 2000 for the men and 2008 for the women: 12 teams in two groups playing round robin followed by knock-out matches for the eight best starting with quarter-finals and ending with final and bronze match. France took both gold medals as the first team since Yugoslavia in Los Angeles 1984. Both finals were a repetition of the last ones: Denmark versus France for the men and Russia/ROC versus France for the women. In 2016 France lost both matches. The handball tournaments at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro was held from 6 to 21 August at the Future Arena in the Barra Olympic Park. The tournaments were won by Denmark in the men's competition and Russia for the women's tournament. 2021 World Men's Handball Championship
The 2021 IHF World Men's Handball Championship was the 27th event hosted by the International Handball Federation and held in Egypt from 13 to 31 January 2021. Starting with this edition, the World Championship was expanded from 24 teams to 32. It was also the third World Championship hosted in Africa, the second in Egypt, and the first to be hosted outside of Europe since 2015. Denmark were the defending champions, having won their first World Championship title in 2019 on home soil. They defended the title by beating Sweden in the final, the second final between two Scandinavian countries in a row. 2019 World Men's Handball Championship
The 2019 IHF World Men's Handball Championship was the 26th event hosted by the International Handball Federation and held in Denmark and Germany from 10 to 27 January 2019. It was the first IHF World Men's Handball Championship to include more than one host country. It was also the first time a unified Korean team participated. Denmark, in a clean sweep, won their first title by defeating Norway 31–22 in the final. This was Norway's second final in a row and the first final since 1995 between two nations who had not won before. France captured the bronze medal after a 26–25 win over Germany. 2015 World Men's Handball Championship
The 2015 World Men's Handball Championship was the 24th staging of the World Men's Handball Championship, organised by the International Handball Federation (IHF). The final tournament was held for the first time in Qatar, from 15 January to 1 February 2015. The Qatari bid was selected over those of Norway, Poland and France after a vote by the IHF Council on 27 January 2011, in Malmö, Sweden. This was the third time that the World Championship was hosted in the Middle East And North Africa, after Egypt in 1999 and Tunisia in 2005. France won the final against Qatar 25–22 to win their fifth title, a first in handball history while Qatar won their first ever medal. 2013 World Men's Handball Championship
The 2013 World Men's Handball Championship was the 23rd World Men's Handball Championship, an international handball tournament that took place in Spain from 11 to 27 January 2013. This was the first time Spain hosted the World Men's Handball Championship, becoming the twelfth country to host the competition. Spain won the title, beating Denmark in the final 35–19. It was Denmark's second final in a row. Venues Games in Madrid were scheduled to be played in the Madrid Arena but on 1 November 2012, five young people were killed in a human stampede during a Halloween party. The venue was subsequently closed because of the judicial investigation and the IHF changed the location of games to Caja Mágica. World Men's Handball Championship

2011 Men's Junior World Handball Championship
The 2011 Men's Junior World Handball Championship was the 18th edition of the tournament and was held at Thessaloniki, Greece from July 17–31, 2011. Oceania withdrew their participation at this year's tournament, Norway replaced the Oceanian team. Uruguay withdrew from this year's edition, Venezuela replaced them as the first substitute of the Pan-American continent. In a rematch of the 2009 final Germany defeated Denmark 27–18 in the final.
