Alvydas Baležentis (born 10 January 1949 in Lazdijai district, Lithuania) is a Lithuanian politician and former member of the Seimas. Biography Baležentis was born to a peasant family in Straigiai village, Lazdijai district, Lithuania on 10 January 1949. In 1967 Baležentis graduated from the Smailininkai Agricultural Mechanization technical school, in 1973 - from Kaunas Polytechnics Institute. In 1979 he became a doctoral candidate in Economics at the University of Moscow. Since 1977 hew worked at the Lithuanian Academy of Agriculture, as an assistant, lecturer, deputy dean, docent and the head of the Innovation Centre at the Academy. Alvydas Duonėla (born 27 June 1976 in Skuodas) is a Lithuanian sprint canoer. He won seven medals at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships with three golds (K-2 200 m: 2001, 2002, 2003), two silvers (K-2 200 m: 2005, K-2 500 m: 2001), and two bronzes (K-2 500 m: 2003, 2005). Duonėla also competed in three Summer Olympics, earning his best finish of seventh twice ( K-1 500 m: 2000, K-2 500 m: 2004). Duonėla is 190 cm / 6'3 tall and weighs 89 kg / 196 lbs. He is a member of the Žalgiris Canoe Club in Vilnius. Alvydas Nikžentaitis
Alvydas Nikžentaitis (born October 18, 1961) is a Lithuanian historian, senior research fellow of the Lithuanian Institute of History and president of Lithuanian National Historians Committee. Biography In 1988 Alvydas Nikžentaitis defended his doctoral thesis on relations between Grand Duchy of Lithuania and Teutonic Order in the first half of the 14th century. In 1992 together with Vladas Žulkus he founded Centre of History of Western Lithuania and Prussia (from 2003 - Institute of Baltic Sea Region History and Archaeology) in Klaipėda. Nikžentaitis was also the first director of aforesaid centre and from 1993 he was a head of Historical Department at Klaipėda University. In 1999 Nikžentaitis defended his habilitated doctoral thesis on Lithuanian Pre-Christian society in the 13th and 14th centuries. In 2000 he was named director of the Lithuanian Institute of History. Alvydas Pazdrazdis (born 20 July 1972) is a Lithuanian former basketball player from Kretinga, Lithuania, who won the bronze medal with the Lithuania men's national basketball team, Lithuania national basketball team at the 1992 Summer Olympics. He is currently a scout for the Dallas Mavericks. His former clubs include BC Statyba, Statyba Vilnius, BC Neptūnas, Neptūnas Klaipėda and BC Sakalai, Sakalai Vilnius. He retired as a player at the age of 28. In June 2011, he became an National Basketball Association, NBA champion as a scout with the Dallas Mavericks.
