Aluminum (album)
''Aluminum'' was the second album from New York City band Gods Child. Produced by Tim Palmer (who has worked with such acts as Pearl Jam, Sponge, and Mission UK), the album features a spaced-out aura, solid musicianship and soaring sonics. It is littered with damaged guitars, distressed mellotron, and raw vocals. ''Aluminum'' was critically acclaimed, but singles "Female Elvis" and "This is the Real World?" only charted regionally. "Need" was featured in the Fox Network television series ''Melrose Place''. After this album, the band moved from New York City to Los Angeles and recorded their follow-up album ''Dream This'' under the new moniker Joe 90 in 1999. Gods Child (band)
Gods Child was an American rock band from New York City, New York, formed in 1991 by Chris Seefried (lead vocals and guitar) and Gary DeRosa (keyboards and background vocals). Steve Tayler Barrett, the band's manager, was an integral part of the creative as well as the business side of the band. His input included lyrics, song titles, song structures, styling, band personnel and creative ideas. They went on to make debut record ''Dream This'' for Geffen Records, along with other independent releases. The band's influences include T.Rex, Lou Reed, Prince, Patti Smith, Sly and The Family Stone, The Doors, Curtis Mayfield, U2, early Blue Öyster Cult and The Beat ...

Gods Child Albums
A deity or god is a supernatural being who is considered divine or sacred. The ''Oxford Dictionary of English'' defines deity as a god or goddess, or anything revered as divine. C. Scott Littleton defines a deity as "a being with powers greater than those of ordinary humans, but who interacts with humans, positively or negatively, in ways that carry humans to new levels of consciousness, beyond the grounded preoccupations of ordinary life". Religions can be categorized by how many deities they worship. Monotheistic religions accept only one deity (predominantly referred to as "God"), whereas polytheistic religions accept multiple deities. Henotheistic religions accept one supreme deity without denying other deities, considering them as aspects of the same divine principle. Nontheistic religions deny any supreme eternal creator deity, but may accept a pantheon of deities which live, die and may be reborn like any other being. Although most monotheistic religions traditionall ...

Hugo Burnham
Hugo Hamilton Mark Burnham (born 25 March 1956) is an English musician, and drummer for the rock group Gang of Four. The band formed in 1977 at Leeds University, where Burnham was studying English Literature. Before the band signed with EMI Records (UK, R.O.W.) and Warner Bros. Records (USA), he was a founding member of Impact Theatre Co-operative. ''Creem'' magazine's Dave DiMartino said in 1980 "Witness Hugo Burnham, a close-cropped, thickset out-and-out scary drummer who looks like his idea of fun might be pushing young American faces into old American brick walls." He continued, "watching the Gang Of Four perform at Bookie's Club 870 and realizing that as great as the records are, the band in live performance is even better. There's rhythm, always rhythm, provided by Burnham's steady drums and Dave Allen's absolutely superb funk basswork". ''Rolling Stone'' critic Greil Marcus wrote, "Hugo Burnham play(s) in an economical and precise yet propulsive style, giving the rhythm ...

Chris Seefried
Chris Seefried is an American singer, musician, songwriter, and record producer. He is best known as the lead vocalist and frontman of the bands Gods Child, Joe 90, and Low Stars, and as producer and co-writer for the neo-soul band Fitz and the Tantrums. Career Gods Child (1992–1996) Seefried's career in the United States started when a cassette tape of "Everybody's 1" was heard by Prince, who stopped the song midway through, ejected the tape and declared "this is mine". That song and four other psychedelic rock and soul tracks found their way to legendary artist, producer, musician and then record company president Quincy Jones and his A&R man Hugo Burnham, drummer from English post-punk band Gang of Four. After flying to New York City to see Gods Child perform one of many shows at New York's CBGB, they signed the band to Warner Bros. Records via Quincy's imprint label Qwest. The band's first record, '' Everybody'', was written and produced by Seefried with bandmate Gary ...
