Altınordu is municipality and Districts of Turkey, district of Ordu Province, Turkey. Its area is 410 km2, and its population is 235,096 (2022). It covers the agglomeration of Ordu and the adjacent countryside. The current acting mayor is Ulaş Tepe (Republican People's Party (Turkey), CHP). The district Altınordu was created at the 2013 Turkish local government reorganisation, 2013 reorganisation from the former central district of Ordu Province. Ordu Province
Ordu Province () is a province and metropolitan municipality of Turkey, located on the Black Sea coast. Its area is 5,914 km2, and its population is 763,190 (2022). Its adjacent provinces are Samsun to the northwest, Tokat to the southwest, Sivas to the south, and Giresun to the east. Its license-plate code is 52. The capital of the province is the city of Ordu. Ordu
Ordu () or Altınordu is a port city on the Black Sea coast of Turkey and the capital of Ordu Province. The city forms the urban part of the Altınordu, Ordu, Altınordu district, with a population of 235,096 in 2023. Name Kotyora, the original name of the city is a legacy of indigenous Colchis, Colchians. The name is allegedly composed of an old Laz language word for pottery ('Koto', similar to Mingrelian language, Mingrelian 'Koto', Georgian language, Georgian 'Kotani' and Laz 'Katana') and a common Kartvelian languages, Kartvelian suffix indicating belonging ('Uri'). In Zan languages, Zan (aka Colchian) Kotyora means a place where pottery is made. Golden Horde
The Golden Horde, self-designated as ''Ulug Ulus'' ( in Turkic) was originally a Mongols, Mongol and later Turkicized khanate established in the 13th century and originating as the northwestern sector of the Mongol Empire. With the division of the Mongol Empire after 1259, it became a functionally separate khanate. It is also known as the Kipchak Khanate or the Ulus of Jochi, and replaced the earlier, less organized Cuman–Kipchak confederation. After the death of Batu Khan (the founder of the Blue Horde) in 1255, his dynasty flourished for a full century, until 1359, though the intrigues of Nogai Khan, Nogai instigated a partial civil war in the late 1290s. is an Arabic word variously translated as district, quarter, ward, or neighborhood in many parts of the Arab world, the Balkans, Western Asia, the Indian subcontinent, and nearby nations.
