Altimont Butler
Altimont "Freddie" Butler (born 21 July 1968) is a Jamaican former professional footballer who played as a striker. Youth career Butler was born in Kingston, Jamaica. His youth career began at age 12 with the Golden Star in Port Royal. During the next three years, he had played in the President's Cup, Minor League and Sid Bartlett League. When he was fourteen, Butler left Port Royal All Age School for Dunoon Technical High School, where he played for the school's football team for three years. When he was seventeen, Butler began his career with Harbour View. During a tournament in Guadeloupe, L'Etoile spotted Butler and signed him to a contract when he was nineteen. In 1990, Butler entered Southern New Hampshire University (then known as New Hampshire College) where he played with the men's soccer team from 1990 to 1993. Cap (sports)
In sport, a cap is a player's appearance in a game at international level. The term dates from the practice in the United Kingdom of awarding a cap to every player in an international match of rugby football and association football. In the early days of football, the concept of each team wearing a set of matching shirts had not been universally adopted, so each side would distinguish itself from the other by wearing a specific sort of cap. An early illustration of the first international football match between Scotland and England in 1872 shows the Scottish players wearing cowls, and the English wearing a variety of school caps. The 1998 FIFA World Cup was the 16th FIFA World Cup, the football world championship for men's national teams. The finals tournament was held in France from 10 June to 12 July 1998. The country was chosen as the host nation by FIFA for the second time in the history of the tournament, defeating Morocco in the bidding process. Mac Cozier
Mac Cozier (born October 23, 1973, in Orange Park, Florida) is a retired American soccer player. He played one season in Major League Soccer, one in the Chilean Second Division, one in USISL and six in the USL First Division. He also earned one cap with the United States national team in 1996. College Cozier attended University of North Carolina at Charlotte, where he played on the men's team from 1992 to 1995. His best was 1994 when he was named a first team All-American. He finished his career as the school's all time, fourth on the career goals list and second on the career point. United Soccer League (USL), formerly known as United Soccer Leagues, is a soccer league in the United States and Canada. It organizes several men's and women's leagues, both professional and amateur.
