Lucki Camel Jr. (born May 30, 1996) known mononymously as Lucki (stylized in all caps) is an American rapper and record producer from Chicago, Illinois. He came to public attention in 2013, after receiving recognition for his debut project, '' Alternative Trap''. Lucki has worked with prominent music figures since then, releasing songs with Chance the Rapper, FKA Twigs, Danny Brown, Earl Sweatshirt, Future and Lil Yachty. He has now signed with record label Empire. He has been hailed as one of the most influential figures in underground hip-hop in recent years. His 2022 studio album "Flawless Like Me" saw mainstream success, debuting at #12 on the Billboard 200. Cloud Rap
Cloud rap is a subgenre of Southern rap and trap music that has several sonic characteristics of lo-fi in its hazy, dreamlike and relaxed sound. Many music experts credit rapper Lil B and producer Clams Casino as the early pioneers of this style. The term "cloud rap" is related to its internet birth and its ethereal style. Origins Cloud rap initially came out of Atlanta, Houston, and Memphis during the late 2000s. The term "cloud rap" is popularly used in reference to lo-fi, hazy rap. Elements of cloud rap, like lo-fi and dreamy atmospheres, can be heard as early as 2001 with cLOUDDEAD's self-titled album. Hippie Sabotage are an electronic dance music duo from Sacramento, California, consisted of brothers Kevin and Jeff Saurer. They are well known for their remix of "Habits (Stay High)", which has surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube. History The brothers began working on music at the age of 12, focusing on hip-hop and creating beats for local artists such as Yukmouth. The name Hippie Sabotage was inspired by their fathers' initials H.S. They initially started in the indie genre in 2005 and gradually entered the electronica genre. Michael Volpe (born May 12, 1987), known professionally as Clams Casino, is an American record producer and songwriter from Nutley, New Jersey. Volpe is currently signed to Columbia Records and Sony Music. He has produced tracks for artists such as ASAP Rocky, Lil B, Vince Staples, Joji, The Weeknd, and Mac Miller and has also remixed works by Big K.R.I.T., Washed Out, and Lana Del Rey. Career A resident of Hasbrouck Heights, New Jersey, Volpe got his start in music tinkering with keyboards while he was a student at Nutley High School.
