Alternate Routes
The Alternate Routes are an American rock band based in Bridgeport, Connecticut. The group was formed by Tim Warren and Eric Donnelly in 2002 while studying at Fairfield University. As of early 2013, The Alternate Routes were touring and working on a new album to follow up ''Lately''. Career In 2005, the band recorded their debut album, ''Good and Reckless and True'', with producer Jay Joyce in Nashville, TN. The next few years were spent touring and honing their live sound. In 2006, the band won an Independent Music Award for the song "Ordinary." Later that year, the band signed with Vanguard Records. In 2007, the band re-released ''Good and Reckless and True'' on Vanguard, and released a limited-edition acoustic album. This album, available only at shows, was affectionately titled ''The Brooklawn Sessions'', referring to the house where Tim and then bass player Chip Johnson lived and recorded the album. Peter Katis
Peter Katis is an American Grammy Award-winning record producer, audio engineer, mixer, and musician. Katis is best known for working with alternative and indie rock bands. He works primarily out of his own residential studio, Tarquin Studios, in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Personal life Peter Katis was born in New York City in April 1966. He is the eldest son of Dr. Lauma Katis and Dr. James Katis, both psychiatrists. His brothers are Tom and Tarquin. Katis attended New Canaan Country School and Greenwich High School, both in Connecticut. He graduated from the University of Vermont having majored in Visual Arts and minored in English. The Backyard Committee
The Backyard Committee (BYC) is a band from New Haven, Connecticut that plays melodic roots rock injected with moments of improvisation and experimentation, much in the spirit of the Grateful Dead, Neil Young, and Bob Dylan, but with indie rock influences like Guided By Voices, Pavement, and Neutral Milk Hotel. Mike Sembos (vocals, guitar or bass) writes the songs and then serves as the editor of the project. His rotating cast of musicians are encouraged to play their instruments using their own ideas and their own voices to make each lineup and each show unique. Scattered Trees
Scattered Trees was an American indie rock band from Chicago, Illinois. The band was on the Roll Call/EMI label before their breakup in 2012. Career Scattered Trees began as a solo project for frontman Nate Eiesland, who moved from Brainerd, MN to Chicago in 2003 and began writing one song a month, each titled for the month it was written in. Upon moving to Chicago, Nate and his now-wife Alissa met brothers Jason and Baron Harper as well as Ryne Estwing and Justin Eisenbraun whilst performing in the same Chicago suburb venues.
