Evangelos Marinakis ( el, Ευάγγελος (Βαγγέλης) Μαρινάκης, born 30 July 1967) is a Greek media mogul, shipowner, lyricist and member of the Piraeus city council. He is the owner of the football clubs Olympiacos in Greece and Nottingham Forest in England. Early life Evangelos Marinakis was born in Piraeus, Greece on 30 July 1967. He is the only son of Miltiadis Marinakis and Irini Marinaki (''née'' Karakatsani). His father, Miltiadis Marinakis, was born in Crete. He was a shipowner, a Member of the Greek Parliament and, at times, a financial supporter of Piraeus football club, Olympiacos. ''To Vima'' ( el, Το Βήμα, lit=The Tribune) is a Greek weekly newspaper first published in 1922 by Dimitris Lambrakis, the father of Christos Lambrakis, as ''Elefthero Vima'' (Free Tribune). ''Ta Nea'' ( el, Τα Νέα, italic=yes; Translation: ''The News'') is a daily newspaper published in Athens. It was owned by Lambrakis Press Group (DOL), which also published the newspaper ''To Vima''. The assets of DOL were acquired in 2017 by Alter Ego Media S.A. The newspaper began publishing in 1931 under the title (''Athinaika Nea'', ''Athens News''), with the first issue being released on May 28. After the Axis occupation of Greece, it changed its name simply to "Ta Nea". ''Ta Nea'' has been Greek's best-selling newspaper for decades, although the internet and the financial crisis have affected its circulation. Nikos Pappas ( el, Νίκος Παππάς) is a Greek economist and politician who served as thMinister of Digital Policy, Telecommunications and Mediain Alexis Tsipras' second cabinet. He represents the Athens B constituency in the Hellenic Parliament. Early life and education Pappas studied at the University of Strathclyde and completed his PhD there in 2013, having written his thesis on the topic of the macroeconomic impact of projected population changes in Greece. In 2015, the University of Strathclyde Students' Association awarded Pappas lifetime membership for doing "inspiring work" to "rebalance the economic injustices facing working people". In Greece, the Council of State () is the Supreme Administrative Court of Greece. Organization The Council is headed by its president, who is chosen from among the members of the Council by the Cabinet of Greece for a term of four years. The City Ground is a football stadium in West Bridgford, Nottinghamshire, England, on the banks of the River Trent. Mark Warburton (born 6 September 1962) is an English professional football manager and former player who is a first-team coach at West Ham United.
