Alson (horse)
Alson (foaled 13 February 2017) is a German-bred Thoroughbred racehorse. He was one of the best German juveniles of 2019 when he won four of his six races including the Group 3 Zukunfts-Rennen and the Group 1 Critérium International as well as finishing second in the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardère. In the following year he ran second in the Poule d'Essai des Poulains and won the Prix Matchem. Background Alson is a bay colt with a prominent white star and snip and white socks on his hind legs bred in Germany by his owners Gestut Schlenderhan. He was sent into training with Jean-Pierre Carvalho in Germany. He was sired by Areion, a high-class German sprinter who won the Goldene Peitsche and two editions of the Holsten-Trophy. Premio Ribot
The Premio Ribot is a Group 2 flat horse race in Italy open to thoroughbreds aged three years or older. It is run at Capannelle over a distance 1,600 metres (about 1 mile), and it is scheduled to take place each year in late October or early November. The event is named after Ribot, a successful Italian-trained racehorse in the mid-1950s. It was given Group 2 status in the 1970s. The Premio Ribot was usually held on the first or second Sunday in November and staged on the same day as the Premio Roma. Earthlight (foaled 18 February 2017) is an Irish-bred, French-trained Thoroughbred racehorse. As a juvenile in 2019 he won two minor races before taking the Prix de Cabourg and then moving up to the highest class to win the Prix Morny and the Middle Park Stakes. In 2020 he won the Prix Kistena and the Prix du Pin as well as running fourth in the Prix Maurice de Gheest and second in the Prix de la Foret.
