Die Krupps () ("The Krupps") is a German industrial metal/ EBM band, formed in 1980 by Jürgen Engler and Bernward Malaka in Düsseldorf. The band has had a diverse range of musical influences over time, including the percussive industrial ''Stahlwerksynfonie'' (1981) then to a more synth-pop styled ''Volle Kraft voraus!'' (1982) and ''Entering the Arena'' (1985), with the latter album featuring their first English-language material. The band later established itself as an industrial metal band, releasing four albums predominantly in this genre, from 1992 to 1997 with each labelled 1 to 4. Electronic body music (acronymized to EBM) is a genre of electronic music that combines elements of industrial music and synth-punk with elements of disco and dance music. It developed in the early 1980s in Western Europe as an outgrowth of both punk and industrial music cultures. ''Paradise Now'' is the seventh album by German band Die Krupps. It was released in 1997. It is the last album prior to the band's 8-year break-up. Guitars take a more dominant role here than on previous Die Krupps albums. The album was the last to feature the widespread use of metal guitars like previous albums, until the band released ''V – Metal Machine Music'' in 2015. The Machinists Of Joy
The Machinists of Joy is the eighth album by German Industrial/ EBM band Die Krupps. The album was released on October 25, 2013 in four formats: normal digipak CD, limited two-CD digipak, a fan box and as a limited LP/CD combo. The album is a tribute to the band's past. It harkens back to the Düsseldorf Punk scene before their first release Stahlwerksynfonie, abandoning the metal sound of their 90s work. The album derives its name from one of the band's earlier tracks 'Machineries of Joy', a cover of Wahre Arbeit Wahrer Lohn done by Ralf Dörper and Nitzer Ebb in 1989. The album includes collaboration with Métal Urbain and Dernière Volonté. Promotion The single ''Risikofaktor'' was accompanied by a music video which was released on January 23, 2013. A Secret Wish
''A Secret Wish'' is the debut album by German synthpop band Propaganda. Released by ZTT Records in 1985, it was produced by Stephen Lipson under the supervision of label boss Trevor Horn. The singles "Duel" and "Dr. Mabuse" were both Top 30 UK chart hits. The track " p:Machinery" (a line from which gives the album its title) was also released as a single and was featured in an episode of the '80s TV show ''Miami Vice'' and also on the video "Drum" by Duran Duran's Simon Le Bon for his Whitbread Round the World Race in 1985. The album was followed up quickly in November 1985 by the ''Wishful Thinking'' companion remix album. ''A Secret Wish'' has been reissued a number of times – including as a deluxe 20th anniversary edition and as a multi-channel SACD. Propaganda are a German synth-pop band formed in Düsseldorf in 1982. They signed a recording contract with ZTT Records as early as 1983 and released their first single "Dr Mabuse" in 1984.
