Alpha Flight (comic Book)
''Alpha Flight'' is the name of several comic book titles featuring the team Alpha Flight and published by Marvel Comics, beginning with the original ''Alpha Flight'' comic book series from 1983 to 1994. Publication history Created by John Byrne (comics), John Byrne, the team first appeared in ''X-Men'' #120 (April 1979 in comics, 1979). The team was originally merely a part of the backstory of the X-Men’s Wolverine (character), Wolverine but, in 1983, Marvel launched an eponymous series featuring the group, which continued until 1994, lasting 130 issues as well as annuals and miniseries. John Byrne (comics)
John Lindley Byrne (; born July 6, 1950) is a British-born American writer and artist of superhero comics. Since the mid-1970s, Byrne has worked on many major superheroes; with noted work on Marvel Comics' ''X-Men'', ''She-Hulk'' and ''Fantastic Four''. Byrne also facilitated the 1986 relaunch of DC Comics' ''Superman'' franchise, the first issue of which featured comics' first variant cover. Coming into the comics profession as penciller, inker, letterer and writer on his earliest work, Byrne began co-plotting the ''X-Men'' comics during his tenure on them, and launched his writing career in earnest with ''Fantastic Four'' (where he also served as penciler and inker). Sal Buscema (; ; born Silvio Buscema, January 26, 1936) is an American comics artist, primarily for Marvel Comics, where he enjoyed a ten-year run as artist of ''The Incredible Hulk'' and an eight-year run as artist of ''The Spectacular Spider-Man''. Tom Morgan (born October 21) is an American comic book artist known primarily for his work on Marvel Comics' ''Captain America'', '' The Punisher 2099'', ''Excalibur'' and ''Iron Man''. Career Morgan broke into the industry in the early 1980s and worked on a large number of Marvel titles, mostly as a fill-in artist, for such books as ''Captain America'', ''Star Brand'', ''West Coast Avengers'', ''Star Trek'', and ''Power Pack''. Michael A. Hernandez is an American comics artist also known by the pen name Michael Bair, who is best known for his work as an inker. His work includes Marvel Comics' ''Alpha Flight'', and DC Comics' ''Hawkman''. He is best known for inking Rags Morales' pencils since 2002, most notably on the miniseries ''Identity Crisis''. Biography Bair started his career in the early 1980s, pencilling a "Stormy Tempest" story in ''Star*Fems'' #2 for AC Comics/Paragon Publications in 1982. James Sherman (b. 1948) is an artist known for his work in American comic books, movies, and logos. Career James Sherman is an artist and colorist who worked for DC Comics and Marvel Comics in the 1970s and 1980s. His first professional comics art appeared in ''Tarzan Family'' #65 and ''Blackhawk'' #248 (both cover dated Sept.–Oct. 1976).
