Aloy Adlawan
Aloy Adlawan (also credited as Alfred Aloysius L. Adlawan), a chemical engineer by profession, is a multi-awarded Filipino filmmaker- writer, producer, director, composer. He attended filmmaking courses at the Mowelfund Film Institute in the Philippines and the New York Film Academy in New York City. His award-winning works include the screenplays “Ang Babae sa Burol” (2nd place, Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, 1994), “Ang Mga Ibon sa Dapithapon” (1st place, Film Development Foundation Scriptwriting Contest, 1995), and “Padyak” (3rd place, Don Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, 2008); the short film “Si Lolo Tasyo at ang Araw” (3rd place, Gawad CCP for Alternative Film and Video, 1997), among others. Mowelfund Film Institute
Mowelfund, or the Movie Workers Welfare Foundation, is an organization in the Philippines that provides for the welfare of workers in the film industry. As well as helping film workers in times of need, it provides support to various organizations including the Mowelfund Film Institute. History Mowelfund is a non-stock, non-profit social welfare, educational and industry development foundation established in 1974 by Joseph Estrada, at that time Mayor of San Juan and President of the Philippine Motion Picture Producers Association. In addition to supporting the welfare of movie industry workers, Mowelfund reorganized the Board of Censors to become the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board and created the Film Academy of the Philippines. Mary Rosalind Soriano Revillame (born December 9, 1982), known professionally as Meryll Soriano, is a multi-awarded actress in the Philippines.
