Aror
Aror ( Sindhi: اروهڙ) or Alor or Arorkot (Sindhi: اروهڙ ڪوٽ) is the medieval name of the city of Rohri (in Sindh, modern Pakistan). Aror once served as the capital of Sindh. History As Roruka, capital of the Sauvira Kingdom, it is mentioned as an important trading center in early Buddhist literature. Little is known about the city's history prior to the Arab invasion in the 8th century CE. Sauvīra was an ancient kingdom of the lower Indus Valley. Aror was the capital of the Arorh Dynasty, which was followed by Rai Dynasty and then the Brahman Dynasty that once ruled northern Sindh. Aror is the ancestral town of the Arora Community. In 711, Aror was captured by the army of Muslim general Muhammad bin Qasim. Arab historians recorded the city's name as ''Al-rur'', ''Al-ruhr'' and ''Al Ror''. Alor is one of the seven communities comprising the Idemili South Local Government of Anambra State in the southeast geopolitical zone of Nigeria. It is surrounded by seven neighbouring towns, namely Oraukwu, Nnobi, Abatete, Ideani, Uke, Adazi Ani and Nnokwa. Lebuhraya Alor Gajah–Melaka Tengah–Jasin (Alor Gajah–Central Malacca–Jasin Highway), or popularly known as Lebuh AMJ (Alor Gajah–Central Malacca (Malacca)–Jasin), Federal Routes 19 (Malaccan side) and 5 (Johorean side) is a divided highway across Malacca state, Malaysia. Route background Generally, the Lebuh AMJ runs north–south from Simpang Ampat to Malacca City before running from west–east from Malacca City to Muar. The entire Malaccan section of the Lebuh AMJ is signed as Federal Route 19, while the Johorean section of the highway is signed as Federal Route 5. The route numbers overlap along the section between Sungai Duyong Intersection to Semabok Interchange. Alor Regency ( id, Kabupaten Alor) is a regency (''kabupaten'') in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) province of Indonesia. Established in 1958, Alor Regency administers the Alor Archipelago with its seat (capital) in Kalabahi on Alor Island. Alor Regency occupies 2,928.88 km2 land area and 10,973.62 km2 water area.
