''Almost Everyday'' is the sixth studio album by American indie electronic duo Matt and Kim. It was released on May 4, 2018, through Fader Label. Background In 2017, Kim suffered an ACL injury. The band cancelled the rest of their tour and took time off to focus on her recovery. In December 2017, the band revealed that during Kim's recovery, they wrote and recorded an album that was said to be their most personal album yet. They released four singles, "Forever", "Like I Used to Be", "Happy if You're Happy", and "Glad I Tried" and announced a spring tour to promote the album. They later announced that the album would be called ''Almost Everyday'' and revealed the album art and tracklist. Matt and Kim (sometimes stylized MATT and KIM) are an American indie electronic duo from Brooklyn, New York City. The group formed in 2004 and consist of Matt Johnson (vocals/keyboards) and Kim Schifino (drums). The duo is known for its upbeat dance music and energetic live shows which often incorporate samples from other artists. Although they started their career playing shows in lofts and other close-quarters venues, they have since performed at numerous festivals, including Bonnaroo, Coachella, and Firefly Music Festival. Waters (stylized as WATERS) is a musical project formed by Van Pierszalowski, the frontman of Port O'Brien, after Port O'Brien broke up. Pierszalowski traveled to Oslo to work on the album. The group released their debut album, ''Out in the Light'', in 2011 to generally favorable reviews. The band consists of Van Pierszalowski (vocals/guitar), Brian DaMert (guitar), Greg Sellin (bass), Andrew Wales (drums), and Sara DaMert (keyboard). Van William (also known as Van Pierszalowski) is an American musician. He formed the band Waters, serving as a vocalist and guitarist, and was the frontman of the band Port O'Brien. He is currently a solo artist. Van William was born on November 24, 1984 in Cambria, San Luis Obispo, California, USA as Van William Pierszalowski. He is a California native but has lived in Norway, Alaska and New York. While living in Alaska every summer growing up, Van worked on his father's commercial salmon fishing boat, the Shawnee, on Kodiak Island. Kyle Thomas, known professionally as King Tuff is an American musician recording on Sub Pop Records. King Tuff and his band have released several music videos and have continually toured across the United States, Australia and Europe since 2012. He is also the lead guitarist and singer of stoner rock band Witch (band), Witch, and was a member of garage rock musician Ty Segall's backing band The Muggers, formed following the release of Segall's studio album, ''Emotional Mugger''.
