Almas Ildyrym
Almas Ildyrym ( az, Almas İldırım), born Ildyrym Almaszade (25 March 1907, Baku – 14 January 1952, Elazığ, Turkey), was an Azerbaijani poet. After the Bolsheviks established their power in Azerbaijan in 1920, the fact that Ildyrym had been born into a wealthy merchant family plagued him for the rest of his life. Though he was accepted to the faculty of Oriental Literature at Azerbaijan State University, it was not long before they dismissed him because of his family origins. In 1926, Almas co-authored a book of poems, ''Dün bugün'' ("Yesterday is Today") with Suleyman Rustam. Soon he was exiled to Dagestan for the nationalist ideas in his poems. While in exile, he wrote ''Dağlardan xatirələr'' ("Memories from the Mountains"), ''Ləzgi elləri'' ("Lezgi Lands"), ''Krımda axşamlar'' ("Evenings in Crimea"), ''Səlimxan'', and ''Günah kimdədir?'' is a 1987 role playing platform game developed for the NEC PC-8801 and published by Game Arts in 1987 in Japan. Sierra On-Line struck a deal with Game Arts and had the game re-published for Europe and North America for MS-DOS compatible operating systems in 1990. Almas Tower
Almas Tower ( ar, برج الماس Diamond Tower) is a 68-storey, , supertall skyscraper in the Jumeirah Lakes Towers, Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Construction of the office building began in early 2005 and was completed in 2008 with the installation of some remaining cladding panels at the top of the tower. The building was topped out in 2008, and became the tallest building in Dubai until 2009 when it was surpassed by Burj Khalifa. Construction Almas Tower is located on its own artificial island in the centre of the Jumeirah Lake Towers Free Zone scheme, the tallest of all the buildings on the development. Almas Temple
The Almas Temple is a Masonic building facing Franklin Square at 1315 K St NW in Washington, D.C. It houses Almas Shrine, a sub-group for Shriner's International whose headquarters is located in Tampa, Florida. The edifice is in the Moorish architectural style and features an elaborate, multicolored terra-cotta façade. It was constructed in 1929 by Allen H. Potts, a member of the temple. The building is five stories in height. It was renovated and relocated about 100 feet westward to its current location in 1987 to make way for a new office complex, One Franklin Square. Beluga caviar is caviar consisting of the roe (or eggs) of the beluga sturgeon ''Huso huso''. In Caucasian Folklore, an almas, alma or almasty, is a cryptid, folk creature or deity said to inhabit the Caucasus, Tian Shan and Pamir Mountains of Central Asia and the Altai Mountains of western Mongolia. Etymology The term "almas" and numerous variants thereof appear in Mongolian, Turkic languages and Iranian languages. Writing in 1964, scholar P. R. Rinčen says that "the origin of the old name is quite unknown … and it does not lend itself for translation in other languages". The name is connected to a variety of place names (toponyms) in southwestern Mongolia, including Almasyn Dobo ('the Hills of Almases'), Almasyn Ulan Oula ('the Red Mountains of Almases') and ('the Red Rocks of Almases').
