Alma (film)
''Alma'' is a 2009 Spanish computer-animated dark fantasy horror short film produced by ex-Pixar animator Rodrigo Blaas. It had received notable recognition at the Fantastic Fest awards. The word "alma" in Spanish means "Soul". The film is about a girl named Alma who wanders into a deserted town and store. Summary On a cold day in Barcelona, Alma comes wandering down a quiet alleyway, encountering a wall with names of various children, she then writes her own name on it. Startled by a noise of mechanical clogs behind her, she turns cautiously around and discovers a doll on display in a shop window that looks identical to her. Curious, she tries to enter the shop only to find that the door is locked. Frustrated, Alma throws a snowball at the door. Thinking that the shop is closed, Alma begins to walk away before the door suddenly opens. Alma then enters the store. As Alma walks in, she is presented with shelves filled with dolls. Alma (French Singer)
Alexandra Maquet (, born 27 September 1988), known professionally as Alma, is a French singer and songwriter. She represented France in the Eurovision Song Contest 2017 with the song "Requiem", finishing twelfth. Early life Alexandra Maquet (Alma) was born 27 September 1988 in Lyon as the eldest of four daughters to businessman Alain Maquet and the painter and contemporary artist Marie-Pierre Maquet, a.k.a. MPM. Alma started singing and playing the piano during childhood. When she was 16 years old, the family moved to Miami. After spending a year at an American high school, she decided to move back to France, on her own, to study at IESEG School of Management in Lille where she obtained a master's degree in Business Administration and Management in 2011. During her studies she spent more than a year as an exchange student at FEA-USP in São Paulo, Brazil where she learned Portuguese. Alma is a city in Crawford County, Arkansas, United States. It is located within the Arkansas River Valley at the edge of the Ozark Mountains; the city is the sixth largest in the Fort Smith metropolitan area. The population was 5,419 at the 2010 Census.
