''Allá en el trapiche'' is a Colombian comedy film, released in 1943. It was directed by the Chilean director Roberto Saa Silva from a script by Gabriel Martinez, and starred Colombian actors such as Lily Alvarez, Tocayo Ceballos, Soledad Sierra and Humberto Onetto. A comedy film is a category of film which emphasizes humor. These films are designed to make the audience laugh through amusement. Films in this style traditionally have a happy ending (black comedy being an exception). Comedy is one of the oldest genres in film and it is derived from the classical comedy in theatre.
