Allison Copening
Debra Allison Copening (née Mellot; July 4, 1964 – January 18, 2020) was a Democratic member of the Nevada Senate, representing Clark County District 6map from 2009 to 13, defeating incumbent Bob Beers in 2008. She did not run for re-election in 2012. Early life Allison Copening was born in Las Vegas. She graduated from Bonanza High School in 1982, and also attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas where she graduated with a B.A. in Communication Studies. Her parents were Harold and Jane Mellot; Copening had one older brother, Michael and one older sister, Gina. Career Copening started her career in the field of broadcasting for nine years at the CBS affiliate in Las Vegas, KLAS TV. Robert T. Beers (born October 14, 1959) is an American accountant (CPA) and member of the Republican Party who was a 2018 candidate for Nevada Treasurer. He was previously an elected member of the Las Vegas City Council from 2012 to 2017, Nevada Assembly from 1998 to 2004 and the Nevada Senate from 2005 to 2008. He ran unsuccessfully for the Republican nomination for Governor of Nevada in 2006 and in January 2014, he announced that he would run against Democratic Senator Harry Reid in the 2016 U.S. Senate election, but he withdrew from the race in June 2015. In 2018, he was defeated for State Treasurer by Zach Conine. Early and personal life Beers moved to Las Vegas at age 11, graduating from Ed W. Breast Cancer
Breast cancer is cancer that develops from breast tissue. Signs of breast cancer may include a lump in the breast, a change in breast shape, dimpling of the skin, milk rejection, fluid coming from the nipple, a newly inverted nipple, or a red or scaly patch of skin. Mark Alan Hutchison (born May 5, 1963) is an American attorney and politician who served as the 34th Lieutenant Governor of Nevada from 2015 to 2019. Nevada Senate
The Nevada Senate is the upper house of the Nevada Legislature, the state legislature of U.S. state of Nevada, the lower house being the Nevada Assembly. It currently (2012–2021) consists of 21 members from single-member districts. In the previous redistricting (2002–2011) there were 19 districts, two of which were multimember. Since 2012, there have been 21 districts, each formed by combining two neighboring state assembly districts. Each State Senator represented approximately 128,598 as of the 2010 United States Census. Article Four of the Constitution of Nevada sets that State Senators serve staggered four-year terms. In addition, the size of the Senate is set to be no less than one-third and no greater than one-half of the size of the Assembly.
