GG Allin
Kevin Michael "GG" Allin (born Jesus Christ Allin; August 29, 1956 – June 28, 1993) was an American punk rock musician who performed and recorded with many groups during his career. Allin was best known for his controversial live performances, which often featured transgressive acts, including self-mutilation, defecating on stage, and assaulting audience members, for which he was arrested and imprisoned on multiple occasions. AllMusic called him "the most spectacular degenerate in rock n' roll history", while G4TV's ''That's Tough'' labelled him the "toughest rock star in the world". Known more for his notorious stage antics than for his music, Allin recorded prolifically, not only in the punk rock genre, but also in spoken word, country, and more traditional-style rock. His lyrics often expressed themes of violence and misanthropy. Allin's music was often poorly recorded and produced, given limited distribution, and met with mostly negative reviews from critics, although he ...

Allin Braund
Allin Braund (1915–2004) was an artist of exceptional, polymathic talent. He was able to work with equal merit in the mediums of oil, watercolour, lithography, stained glass, relief sculpture & sculpture (including the then cutting-edge use of fibre-glass). His influence on post 1945 art and architecture in Britain and around the world is profound. Yet, unlike his fellow '54 Venice Biennale collaborators; Lucian Freud, Henry Moore and Francis Bacon his works did not start to fully realise similar, commercial acknowledgement until circa 2000. Braund was born in Devon and educated at Hornsey College of Art. Like many of his generation, he saw active service in the Second World War. He was one of Churchill's Desert Rats (a precursor of The S.A.S) group of British soldiers who helped defeat the Germans in North Africa during World War II. They were highlighted for a hard-fought, three-month campaign against the more-experienced German Afrika Korps, led Rommel (“The Desert Fox”) ...

Sir Thomas Allin, 1st Baronet
Admiral Sir Thomas Allin, 1st Baronet (1612–1685) was an officer of the Royal Navy who saw service in the English Civil War, and the Second and Third Anglo-Dutch Wars. A Royalist during the Civil War, he returned to service after the Restoration and eventually rose to the rank of Admiral of the White after serving under some of the most distinguished military figures of the era, including Prince Rupert of the Rhine. Family and early life Thomas Allin was born in 1612, the son of Robert Allin. He lived at what is now 29/30 High Street (this was one property at the time) in Lowestoft for the first part of his life, where he was a merchant and shipowner. On the outbreak of the English Civil War in 1642, Allin sided with the Royalists, in common with most of the town. He played a significant part in the subsequent privateering operations against Lowestoft's Parliamentarian rivals at Great Yarmouth, and eventually transferred his operations to the Netherlands for greater security. ...
