Allan Duncan Brown (12 October 1926 – 20 April 2011) was a Scottish football player and manager. Brown played as an inside forward for East Fife, Blackpool, Luton Town, Portsmouth and Wigan Athletic. He also represented Scotland, scoring six goals in 14 international appearances, and the Scottish League. Brown was player/manager of Wigan Athletic, and also managed Luton Town, Torquay United, Bury, Nottingham Forest, Southport and Blackpool. As a player, Brown won the Scottish League Cup with East Fife in 1949–50. As a manager, he guided Luton Town to the Fourth Division title in 1967–68. Wing Commander Allan Runciman Brown was an Australian World War I flying ace credited with five aerial victories. During World War II, he was a Wing Commander for the Royal Australian Air Force. He was born on 24 April 1895, and in civilian life, Brown was a draper in Launceston, Australia. Brown originally served as an artillery officer, before becoming a pilot. He was assigned to No. 68 Squadron RFC/1 Squadron AFC in Egypt. There he was teamed with Lieutenant Garfield Finlay as his observer/gunner on Bristol F2b Fighters; Brown's gunner for four of his five triumphs was Finlay. Brown's modus operandi was to force enemy planes into landing, and then destroy them on the ground with bombs and bullets. Allan Percy Brown (19 July 1912 – 2 March 1994) was a merchant, boxer and political figure in Saskatchewan. He represented Melville from 1952 to 1956 in the Legislative Assembly of Saskatchewan as a Co-operative Commonwealth Federation (CCF) member. He was born in Lebret, Saskatchewan, the son of George Brown, and grew up there, in Cana, and in Melville. Brown worked for the Canadian National Railway during his holidays while attending school. By the age of 16, he had become the welterweight boxing champion of Saskatchewan. Brown later became welterweight champion of Canada, losing only three out of 104 bouts. After retiring from the ring, he worked as a hotel manager and as a boxing coach. Brown opened a photography business with his brother in 1945. He married Ola Atkey during the late 1930s. Alan Browne (born 23 January 1974) is an Irish retired hurler who played for Cork Senior Championship club Blackrock. He played for the Cork senior hurling team for 9 years, during which time he usually lined out as a forward. Browne began his hurling career at club level with Blackrock. He broke onto the club's top adult team straight out of the minor grade in 1992. One of the most prolific scorers of his era, Browne made 71 championship appearances for the club before his retirement in 2011 and was part of the Cork Senior Championship-winning teams of 1999, 2001 and 2002. Allen Brown (March 2, 1943 – January 27, 2020) was an American football tight end in the National Football League for the Green Bay Packers. He played college football at the University of Mississippi. Early years He attended Natchez High School, where he was a three-sport athlete and almost chose Louisiana State University for college. Playing for Johnny Vaught at Ole Miss, Brown lettered three times (1962–64) and was a co-captain of the 1964 team. He was recognized as All-America by several publications for the 1964 season and was a first-team All-SEC selection his final two years. He was inducted into Ole Miss Athletic Hall of Fame in 1989 and the Mississippi Sports Hall of Fame in 2010. In 2004, Brown was honored by the Southeastern Conference as an SEC football legend.
