Alla Shekhovtsova
Alla Viktorovna Shekhovtsova (russian: Алла Викторовна Шеховцова; born 2 November 1964 in Sverdlovsk) is a Russian figure skating judge and ISU Technical Specialist and a former ISU Ice Dance Technical Committee member; a former ice dancer, the wife of Valentin Piseev who used to be the general director of the Figure Skating Federation of Russia. They have a son, Stanislav (born 1989). Biography Shekhovtsova started skating at the age of 5. Her father was a hockey player. Shekhovtsova first competed as an ice dancer. When she realized that she could never compete at the highest level, she left skating. She graduated from the Ural State University of Economics and later from the Russian Academy of Theatre Arts (ice choreography faculty), where she studied in the same class with Zhanna Gromova. Adelina Dmitriyevna Sotnikova (russian: link=no, Адели́на Дми́триевна Со́тникова ; born 1 July 1996) is a retired Russian figure skater. She is the 2014 Olympic champion, a two-time European silver medalist (2012, 2013), a two-time Rostelecom Cup bronze medalist (2011, 2015), and a four-time Russian national champion (2009, 2011, 2012, 2014). On the junior level, she is the 2012 Youth Olympic silver medalist, the 2011 Junior World champion, the 2010 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, and the 2009 Russian junior national champion. Sotnikova stopped competing after the 2015–2016 season. She announced her retirement on 1 March 2020. Elena Anatolyevna Tchaikovskaia, also spelled as Chaykovskaya or Chaikovskaia (, née Osipova (russian: О́сипова); born 30 December 1939) is a Russian figure skating coach, choreographer, and former competitor for the Soviet Union. She runs a skating school at the Yantar Sports Center, built in 2010 in the Strogino District west of Moscow. She coaches in collaboration with Vladimir Kotin, her former pupil. Biography Elena Tchaikovskaia was born in Moscow in a family of theatre actors. Her father worked in Mossovet Theatre. An ''éminence grise'' () or grey eminence is a powerful decision-maker or adviser who operates "behind the scenes", or in a non-public or unofficial capacity. This phrase originally referred to François Leclerc du Tremblay, the right-hand man of Cardinal Richelieu. Leclerc was a Capuchin friar who was renowned for his beige robe attire, as beige was termed "grey" in that era. The style ''His Eminence'' is used to address or refer to a cardinal in the Roman Catholic Church. Although Leclerc never achieved the rank of cardinal, those around him addressed him as such in deference to the considerable influence this "grey" friar held over "His Eminence the Cardinal".
