All We Love We Leave Behind
''All We Love We Leave Behind'' is the eighth studio album by American metalcore band Converge (band), Converge. It was released on October 9, 2012, via Epitaph Records. The album did not feature any guest collaborators, unlike the band's previous album ''Axe to Fall''. The album was produced by Converge guitarist Kurt Ballou and the artwork was created by the band's singer Jacob Bannon. ''All We Love We Leave Behind'' peaked at number 70 on ''Billboard 200'' chart in the United States, it was the band's most commercially successful record until their next album, ''The Dusk in Us'' reached number 60 on the same chart in 2017. Writing and recording On January 1, 2012, Converge announced that they had completed writing for the album. The following day, Kurt Ballou announced plans via his Facebook page to begin recording with the band in January 2012. The album was recorded and mixed at Kurt Ballou's GodCity Studio in Salem, Massachusetts.

Converge is an American hardcore punk band formed by vocalist Jacob Bannon and guitarist Kurt Ballou in Salem, Massachusetts in 1990. During the recording of their seminal fourth album ''Jane Doe'', the group became a four-piece with the departure of guitarist Aaron Dalbec and the addition of bassist Nate Newton and drummer Ben Koller. This lineup has remained intact since. They have released nine studio albums, three live albums, and numerous EPs. The band's sound is rooted in hardcore and also features frequent influences from heavy metal. They are considered pioneers of metalcore as well as its subgenre mathcore. The album was self-released on August 1, 2012, and features artwork by Converge vocalist Jacob Bannon. It is available on 7" vinyl and as a digital download. Converge contributed "No Light Escapes", a song that later appeared on the deluxe edition of their album ''All We Love We Leave Behind'', as well as a cover version of Swedish death metal band Entombed's "Wolverine Blues". "On My Shield" is a single released by American metalcore band Converge. It was originally made available during the band's European tour in July 2010. The single was self-released by the band, though it was distributed by Converge's labels, Epitaph Records and Deathwish Inc. The physical release does not contain a label catalog number, however Deathwish lists the single as CONCULT01. The song was recorded and produced by guitarist Kurt Ballou at his own GodCity studio between the band's 2010 US and European tours in support of ''Axe to Fall''.
