2012 Serbian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Serbia on 6 May 2012 to elect members of the National Assembly, and were held simultaneously with provincial, local, and presidential elections. Background The 2008 parliamentary elections resulted in the formation of a new pro-European government on 7 July 2008, with the necessary parliamentary votes coming from President Boris Tadić's For a European Serbia list, and the coalition of the Socialist Party of Serbia, the Party of United Pensioners of Serbia and United Serbia (the SPS-PUPS-JS coalition), plus six out of the seven minorities representatives. The new government elected Mirko Cvetković (endorsed by the Democratic Party) as Prime Minister. The opposition, the Serbian Radical Party (SRS), had a split after the elections. Bosniak Democratic Union ( sr-cyrl, Бошњачка демократска заједница, Bošnjačka demokratska stranka, BDZ) is a political party in Serbia, representing the Bosniak ethnic minority. It is led by Emir Elfić. History It was founded on 25 December 2010 in Novi Pazar. Its founder and leader is economist Emir Elfić (as of 2016). Democratic Union Of Croats
The Democratic Union of Croats ( hr, Demokratska zajednica Hrvata, sr-cyrl, Демократска заједница Хрвата, Demokratska zajednica Hrvata, DZH) is a political party in Serbia representing the Croat ethnic minority in the province of Vojvodina. It was founded on 25 July 2007, and the party seat is in Subotica, Age Mamužića 5 Street. Chronologically, DZH was fourth party of Croats from Serbia and third that emerged from dissatisfied fractions of the Democratic Alliance of Croats in Vojvodina. Party President is Đorđe Čović (since 9 November 2007). Hungarian Hope Movement
The Hungarian Hope Movement ( hu, Magyar Remény Mozgalom (MRM); sr, Покрет Мађарске Наде (ПМН), '' Pokret Mađarske Nade'' (PMN)) was a political party organized by some members of the Hungarian minority in Voivodina, Serbia. Party claimed that its aim is to represent the interests for the benefit of all Hungarian people living in the country. Based upon a similar ideological background, it preferred the affiliation with the Movement for a Better Hungary (Jobbik), which is a radical and nationalist party in Hungary. Currently, the Hungarian Hope Movement does not hold any parliamentary seats; neither in the Serbian parliament, nor the Vojvodinian one.
