"All Things Considered" is a song written by lead vocalist Tim Hunt and recorded by the American country music group Yankee Grey, which was released in June 1999 as the leadoff single from the group's first album, '' Untamed''. Yankee Grey
Yankee Grey was an American country music group originally composed of six members: David Buchanan (bass guitar), Matthew Basford (lead guitar), Joe Caverlee (fiddle), Kevin Griffin (drums), Jerry Hughes (keyboards), and Tim Hunt (lead vocals), all of whom met in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded in 1986, the band toured throughout the state of Ohio before being signed to a record deal with Monument Records in 1999. The same year, they made their debut on the ''Billboard'' country music charts with the Top Ten single "All Things Considered," followed by the release of their debut album ''Untamed'', which produced two more hit singles on the country charts. After exiting Monument, the band signed to the independent Stonewall label in 2002. ''Untamed'' is the debut studio album of the American country music band Yankee Grey. It was released in 1999 (see 1999 in country music) on Monument Records Nashville. The album produced three chart singles on the ''Billboard'' country charts. In order of release, these were "All Things Considered" at number 8, "Another Nine Minutes" at number 15, and "This Time Around" at number 43. The fourth and final single, which was the title track, failed to chart. By 2000, Yankee Grey were dropped from Monument's roster, and frontman Tim Hunt left due to vocal complications. Monument Records
Monument Records is an American record label in Washington, D.C. named for the Washington Monument, founded in 1958 by Fred Foster, Buddy Deane (a prominent Baltimore disc jockey at WTTG), and business manager Jack Kirby. Buddy Deane soon left the company, and in the early '60s bought KOTN in Pine Bluff, Arkansas, where he lived in retirement until his death. Foster and Kirby relocated to the Nashville suburb of Hendersonville, Tennessee. Monument's releases include a variety of genres including rock and roll, country, jazz, and rhythm and blues. Robert Ellis Orrall
Robert Ellis Orrall (born May 4, 1955) is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Signed to RCA Records in 1980, Orrall debuted that year with the album "Fixation". His first Top 40 single was "I Couldn't Say No", a duet with Carlene Carter. By 1990, Orrall had found success as a songwriter, having penned Number One singles for Shenandoah and Clay Walker. He returned to RCA in 1991 and charted the singles "Boom! It Was Over" (#19) and "A Little Bit of Her Love" (#31), from his first country music album, '' Flying Colors''. Orrall then joined frequent songwriting partner Curtis Wright in the CMA-nominated duo Orrall & Wright, recording one more album and charting two singles. Josh Leo
Josh Leo (born 1953 in Des Moines, Iowa) is an American guitarist, songwriter, and record producer active in Nashville, Tennessee. Leo was born in Des Moines, Iowa, but was raised in Kansas City, Missouri. In 1976, he moved to Chicago, Illinois and subsequently became a guitarist of the short-lived Eddie Boy Band. The band then traveled to Los Angeles, California two years later, where they recorded an album for MCA Records (which was the first record Leo had made). The Eddie Boy Band, however, was unsatisfied with the sound quality of the album, and they disbanded shortly afterward. In 1979, four years after the Eddie Boy Band broke up, Leo began touring with J. D. Souther as a guitarist. And over the next few years, he would record and tour with the likes of Kim Carnes, Jimmy Buffett and Glenn Frey. During this time, Leo also began a songwriting career.
